Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is day 12 of month 11 of the year 1987 Anno Crucis of the Biblical Calendar. The Spring Sabbaths begin with the Biblical New Year's day on the First Sabbath of Unleavened Bread in 9 weeks, day 15 of month 1 (Friday, March 22 of the 2019, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Thursday, March 21). On God's Calendar the Biblical month begins on the global day after lunar conjunction. The Biblical year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is a month late in the Gregorian 2019 year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar will also be a month late. I was continuing my many ponderings about the Biblical Calendar and in particular the most important day in all the Universe and for all Time. The day our Savior died to erase sin from the Universe is the most important date for all Time. I hope this idea needs no explanation. The pagan, Babylonian, Roman Catholic Gregorian Calendar bases its beginning on the supposed birth of Christos. They do not have the correct date and even the year they use is known to be incorrect by a few years. Human historical records are not highly reliable for exact dates more than a thousand years ago. The further back you go, the more unreliable they get. Every newsletter I have published for the last several years begins with a reference to the actual day and month of the Biblical Calendar. This is completely accurate since it is based on astronomical observation. There needs to be some reference to use for the years of the Calendar. Since I don't want to base my reference to the Biblical Calendar on the Roman Catholic Gregorian Calendar, I have been using the estimated year of Anno Mundi, or the creation of earth. I am changing my date for the reference year to the year of the crucifixion or "Anno Crucis". Most people are fairly confident that the crucifixion was 31 AD. I have no doubt that it could easily be off by a year or two but it is a reasonable assumption. Therefore, you notice that the beginning of this newsletter refers to the current Biblical Calendar date as: day 12 of month 11 of the year 1987 Anno Crucis of the Biblical Calendar. The year is calculated by subtracting 31 from the Gregorian Anno Domini after the Biblical start of the year at Passover. The Anno Domini begins shortly after the winter solstice while the Anno Crucis begins at Passover, which is shortly after the spring equinox. Since the Gregorian Calendar is used by the whole world we are forced to create Biblical Calendars which tell us when the appointed times occur on the Gregorian Calendar. Calendar determination is a very difficult but important subject. The pagan, Babylonian, Roman Catholic Gregorian Calendar is slightly simpler since it uses a fixed number of days for each month except February. The start of the year on the Gregorian Calendar is arbitrary based on historical tradition. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is also slightly simpler since it uses a fixed number of days for each month, and a cycle for the number of months in a year. The start of the year on the Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is intended to be based on the new moon. However, a formula used is used instead of actual observation. The formula is not completely accurate and even drifts over the centuries. The Biblical Calendar is based completely on the actual movements of the sun and moon as commanded by God. Genesis 1:14 God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of heaven to divide the day from the night. Let them be signals for appointed times, days, and years. The signals of the equinox of the sun, the new moon, and sunset are observed by scientists with precision. They can be calculated and predicted for a few years in the past and the future. The difficulty lies in agreeing on the rules to start years, months, and days based on these signals. All the details can make your head spin. So many details, so much confusion. Is the Biblical Calendar and all its meanings more important to you than the pagan, Babylonian, Roman Catholic Gregorian Calendar? I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
