Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-uh-oo-uh) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 14th day of the 8th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the year 6011 Anno Mundi.

It is about five months or 21 weeks and one day until the Spring Holy Days begin with Passover and the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month in the year 6012 Anno Mundi, which is the first Unleavened Bread Sabbath (Sunset on Saturday, March 22 on the 2008 Gregorian calendar).

You will notice that I have begun referring to the year of the Sacred Calendar as 6011 Anno Mundi. The Latin word "Anno Mundi" means the year of the earth. The date is based on the well known chronology of James Ussher (1654) who dated creation to October 23, 4004 BC. I am not saying that I am certain that this date is correct. I am using it as a reasonable reference point.

I am very uncomfortable with those who believe in exact dates in a year more than a thousand years ago based on astronomy. This is especially true for dates before the known change in the earth's movement that occurred when the sundial moved back in II Kings 20:11 about 651 BC as well as other known changes in the earth's movement. There are so many documented uncertainties in astronomy that discredit precise prediction. Even when astronomers claim to be very precise they admit large variability. The following links are examples of fascinating reading for those interested in advanced study on this topic.

I suspect that it is true that creation occurred in the fall of the year. I suspect it was at Tabernacles. I do not know why God specifies that the year begin in spring when creation probably occurred in fall. I am sure we will learn the reasons for these things very soon.

Here is how I calculate the year AM dates. Starting with year 1 AM in 4004 BC makes 1 AD the year 4005 AM. 2007 AD + 4004 = 6011 AM. The entrance of sin occurred in the year 8 AM according to the Book of Jubilees.

If, as I suspect, the year 6012 AM is a Sabbath year, and we calculate all the way back to creation, then the year 6 AM would have been a Sabbath year. The year 14 AM would have been a Jubilee.I don't know if there is any significance to that information. There is so much uncertainty that it borders on meaninglessness.

I have calculated the 6012 Anno Mundi (2008 Gregorian) calendar which is posted on the website. I use my best understanding of God's rules for the calendar based on the clues the Bible gives and what is preserved in Jewish and Catholic tradition.

Last year my calendar matched the Jewish Calendar. This year even the Jewish Calendar is a month late because of the creeping error in the formula they have adopted. This is the source I use as a reference for the Jewish calendar.

Those who adhere to the calendar rules selected by the Millerites will also be observing a month later. They will not agree with the Jewish calendar either, depending on the other rules they choose. It is unfortunate that there is so much confusion over God's Sacred Calendar. This will prohibit the widespread acceptance of the truth of God's yearly Sabbaths.

There are major disputes, and even more brewing, over God's law. It is vitally important to remember to choose tolerance and understanding over criticism and judgment.

I pray that we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-uh-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.

Shabbat Shalom,
