Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-uh-oo-uh) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray that this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 6th day of the 1st month of God's Sacred Calendar in the year 6012 Anno Mundi.

It is 1 week and one day until the Spring Holy Days begin with Passover and the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month in the year 6012 Anno Mundi, which is the first Unleavened Bread Sabbath (Sunset on Saturday, March 22 on the 2008 Gregorian calendar).

The evening of the 21st day of the 1st month is the second Unleavened Bread Sabbath (Sunset on Friday, March 28 on the 2008 Gregorian calendar). On this particular yearly Sabbath all those who keep the weekly Sabbath will be observing the yearly Sabbath in form, if not in spirit.

The evening of the 6th day of the 3rd month is Pentecost Sabbath (Sunset on Sunday, May 11 on the 2008 Gregorian calendar). I pray that this may be the time for the special outpouring of the Holy Spirit in power and truth on the 144,000 to prepare the world for the final judgment.

It has come to my attention that there is a dispute over the doctrine of the trinity. I have heard mentions of this dispute in the past from people who were pushing other questionable ideas. They were also not able to clearly describe to me the theological basis for their claims. After a superficial review of what they said, I could not find any basis for what they proposed. This led me to ignore what they were saying. Many times I have seen ideas presented on subjects for which there was not a solid basis of study and understanding. I confess that I have on occasion been guilty of this myself.

This subject has been brought to my attention again by an individual who I have found to be very solidly based in present truth and does not make a point of presenting other questionable ideas. This has caused me to return to a more careful examination of the subject. It also helps that this person is able to provide some solid theological basis for their position.

I have also become highly sensitized to the dangers of assuming that I already know all the truth. It is very important to stick closely to what we already understand is truth. It is important to continue in careful study of the Bible to make sure we are firmly grounded in truth. It is also important to make sure that we do not close our minds to more that God may choose to reveal to us.

Present Truth is the restoration of all truth after the Great Apostasy. Paul speaks explicitly of the expected falling away.

II Thessalonians 2:3
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

The words of the Messiah that the Third Elijah shall come and restore all things.

Matthew 17:11
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

Peter made a prophetic statement. The time of the end is a time of restoration of all things.

Acts 3:21
Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

Present Truth is progressive and continues advancing until all the errors of the apostasy are refuted.

I hesitate to mention this particular subject because there is some uncertainty in my mind about what the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy are saying on the details of this subject. I have come to the conclusion that we are trying too hard to make a doctrine of details of the nature of God which are best left to individual understanding. We are finite and are not able to grasp the infinite God in detail. This does not hinder us from following Him to the best of our understanding as revealed to us by the Holy Spirit.

The Catholic church has made the term Trinity a mark of its doctrine. It may be well for us to avoid adopting this term in our beliefs because it commits us to concepts designed by Catholic doctrine with which we may not agree. We believe that God includes the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We do not have to attach a term to our understanding. We need to be careful about adopting a term someone else uses to define their meaning.

It is not going to be possible to make many observations about this deep subject in a short newsletter. The Bible is the primary source we need to study carefully for understanding. The Holy Spirit will guide us in our study. There are many websites that provide additional information on the issues which may or may not be useful to us.

It is important to note that we need to be careful about deep theological and doctrinal disputes over subjects we do not clearly understand. This is particularly true if they do not actually improve our ability to follow the Word of God. We may cause those struggling with more basic understandings to turn away from God's word by our spirit of dispute.

Are you sensitive to the dangers of adopting a spirit of dispute?

I pray that we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-uh-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.

Shabbat Shalom,
