Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-uh-oo-uh) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 3rd day of the 12th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6012 Anno Mundi. It is 10 weeks until the Spring Sabbaths begin with the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month which is the first Unleavened Bread Sabbath (Saturday, April 11 on the 2009 Gregorian calendar, beginning sunset on Friday, April 10). In the coming year the Millerite Calendar agrees with my understanding of the Calendar. The Jewish Calendar is two days earlier in the spring and one day in the fall. _____ There was a group of five plus Cindy and I who attended the alternate Sabbath School this week. I was able to continue with some of my presentation material and the discussion was at times very intense. An observation was made afterward that the time was too short and the suggestion was made to consider continuing in the afternoons in the future. A couple of individuals at work have been discussing Present Truth with me from time to time. I continually pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. _____ There were several responses to issues raised in my recent newsletters. _____ One person wrote: The SDA church is not the only church obeying the 4th commandment. I have personally worshiped with the Seventh-day Church of God, there is the Seventh-day Lutheran church and the Seventh-day baptist church. These are I believe registered church names. I know the Seventh-day Church of God is because I was there. I believe there are probably others also it one did the research. Therefore it cannot be that the Catholic Church points to SDAs as the only sabbath keeping church. If they do, the ones who make that statement have also not done their research. Just type Seventh-day church into google and on the first page you get Church of God (Seventh-day) and Seventh-day Baptist. _____ My response: You are absolutely correct that there are other Sabbath-keeping churches. No one has ever said otherwise. In fact the SDA church was led to the doctrine by the Seventh-day Baptists. Nevertheless, there was a case where the SDA church was singled out for notice by a representative of the Roman Catholic Curch in a publication which was being critical of Protestants for keeping Sunday and not accepting the other authority of the RCC. By the way, it was not praising the SDA but using them as an example of what you don't want to be. _____ Some have suggested that my condemnation of the church (SDA organization) was a bit strong last week. I support the SDA church organization with my tithes and offerings. I am not ashamed to be a member of the SDA church organization. I am also not afraid to honestly speak of errors when I see them. Beyond this membership, I am a member of the true church which is the body of the True Head. Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. The issue of condemnation was also addressed in a different way in another recent email. _____ Just to let you know Frank, I have read the last chapter of your book on the Tzitzit and found it informative and interesting. I'm glad you put in there how you make them, if we decide to wear them that will help. I personally have not felt any conviction as of yet, but I do not have a closed mind on it. One thing I have learned in this past year, separating jewish tradition from Bible truth is a BIG job and not easily done or even understood, at least by me. Shalom brother, _____ My response: Do not be troubled sister about the tassels. The Holy Spirit will guide the willing heart to follow where it should as we seek truth and grow in understanding. Each in his own way and in God's own time. I have added a picture of the tassels to a revised version of my book. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. _____ Another person who is reading my book recently expressed an appreciation of my lack of a critical spirit. I try my best to avoid a spirit of condemnation which is not justified and is contrary to scripture. There are many other Scripture passages I could quote on the subject of condemnation but I encourage you to look them up yourself. Read, pray, study, and meditate on truth with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Are you carefully studying the Bible to learn understanding which is the spirit of God instead of criticism and condemnation? I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-uh-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
