Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 17th day of the 1st month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6014 Anno Mundi.

It is 4 days until the second Sabbath of Unleavened Bread on the evening of the 21st day of the 1st month (Tuesday, April 6 on the 2010 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Monday, April 5).

It is 6 weeks and 6 days until Pentecost Sabbath on the evening of the 6th day of the 3rd month (Thursday, May 20 on the 2010 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Wednesday, May 19th).

This year, those who follow the Millerite Calendar determination will be one month later than my research has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates for God's Sacred Calendar. The dates on the Jewish Calendar are one day earlier in the spring and one day early in the fall.

_____

I observed the first yearly Sabbath of Unleavened Bread at home by myself again this year as I have most times in the past. I do not know of any group in reasonable travelling distance with which to observe a holy convocation on this day. I spent the day in prayer, meditation, study, and writing. I am sad because I am not keeping the fullest intent of God's command.

It has been such a blessing when I have been able to attend meetings with fellow believers. It is sad there is no one in this area who understands and observes God's yearly appointed times.

I was asked once if I thought I might become the Third Elijah Prophet. I emphatically said NO! The primary reason is because my studies have shown me the Elijah prophet promised by God must have a deep knowledge and understanding of the Law of Moses.

Malachi 4:4-5
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

I didn't even clearly know and understand there was a Law of Moses until about seven years ago. I know there is so much more I need to know and a deeper understanding I need to have. I suspect the Third Elijah will come from a background which has taught the Law of Moses from a child. This seems to be likely to be an orthodox Jewish background. They will have to overcome the limitations of Jewish tradition as well as accept the Messiah. God will fulfill His prophecy in His own way at His own time.

I emphatically do not consider myself to be a prophet. I wouldn't even think of calling myself a messenger. I do not even want to be considered a teacher.

I am a student of the Bible. As a deep student and researcher I have been led by the Holy Spirit to share the results of my understanding from my studies with other students of the Bible. My understanding is not perfect or complete but is still valuable to share with others.

There are individuals I communicate with who seem to act like teachers and seem to insist by their actions I must learn from them. Some resort to Rabbinic methods by asking leading and confusing questions with condescending remarks about Western thinking. I try to be patient.

With diligent study guided by the Holy Spirit I will continue to reach an understanding of all God has for me to see. I do not allow anyone to pressure me with a flood of ideas to follow them without careful study on my part. I will not blindly follow a bandwagon of ideas proposed by a group either. I will carefully and diligently compare all teachings and ideas with Scripture and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

I was not always careful about the ideas I embraced. When I first began meeting with other Torah believers, I was flooded with new ideas. I embraced many and shared them with others. My son was one of the first to point out some inconsistencies. This brought me back to reality and started me on the path of very careful study and research. God has blessed my efforts through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and has led me past many seductive ideas which are simply not in God's Word.

I accept no guidance in doctrine in quotes from any source other than the Bible. I do believe in the Spirit of Prophecy and accept some influence in understanding from that source. I find the writings of Ellen White to be a great source of encouragement, understanding, and inspiration. I do not accept guidance in doctrine from Jones, Waggoner, or anyone else except as it leads completely back to the Bible.

I know my few years of study and experience pale beside the work of others but I must be true to my study and conscience as I seek and submit to the guidance of God's Word and the direction of the Holy Spirit.

Are you a deep student of the Bible seeking to follow truth wherever it leads you?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
