Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 7th day of the 3rd month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6014 Anno Mundi.

It is 4 months until the Fall Sabbaths begin with Trumpets Sabbath on the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month (Friday, September 10 on the 2010 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Thursday, September 9th).

This year, those who follow the Millerite Calendar determination will be one month later than my research has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. The dates on the Jewish Calendar are one day earlier in the spring and one day early in the fall.

Pentecost is now past and I am in the middle of a complete round of revisions in the books and the websites. Sometimes it is a little frustrating to be continually going back and making minor revisions to the books. My ongoing study and discussions with others keeps bringing up little details of clarification, additional powerful quotes and other information which I feel I must add. It is almost a curse to be able to publish revised books at little cost.

Work still continues on the fifth book with a couple of chapters being fleshed out recently. It is a slow process between the other revisions, ongoing correspondence, and keeping up with my paying job to support 3ABN and the family. Thankfully, I am experiencing a little burst of energy with the removal of a long-term infection in an abscessed tooth which I did not realize was dragging me down for over a year.

In recent discussions about the Godhead, Calendar, and other subjects, I have been led to see a principle of understanding which applies to the Bible, the Spirit of Prophecy, and all other writings and discussions. Many disagreements and confusion occur because of a lack of understanding this principle.

Many times when statements are made there is a certain amount of ambiguous or non-specific information which can lead to confusion. It is not possible for every sentence or paragraph to be completely accurate to the last specific detail. These are sometimes called general statements.

If you are looking to prove a specific point you can take a general statement and stretch it to make it prove your point. It is likely God alone has enough wisdom to make statements which cannot be misconstrued. Unfortunately, when even these statements are written down, they can lose their specific meaning over the course of time or a change of language.

The Bible makes many statements about the results of stretching truth and seeking your own ideas rather than submitting to the Holy Spirit. I quoted many of them in the last week's newsletters, so I am not going to repeat them.

We need not despair because God has provided the Holy Spirit to guide us.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

God has promised we will find the truth when we seek it. This is first prophesied by Moses in the Original Testament.

Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

God repeats this idea directly to Jeremiah for the remnant people.

Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

The promise is repeated by our Saviour while on earth as recorded in the Renewed Testament.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

The method to use in making clear potential confusion is clearly described.

Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

It is necessary to recognize this limitation and avoid pouncing on isolated statements which you can stretch to prove your point. Seek to understand the overall truth of the whole Bible. Consider many related statements to be found in the Spirit of Prophecy. Ask questions when a person makes a potentially confusing statement.

Look for the truth instead of trying to prove your cherished point. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak instead of drowning out the voice of wisdom with your own words. Be kind and considerate of each other instead of harsh and critical. I understand this problem very well for I struggle with this issue myself.

I recently read this excellent guidance, which I have always laboured to follow.

"The most essential points of Bible truth may be made indistinct by giving attention to every minute particular. Some, in their writings, need to be constantly guarded, lest they make blind points that are plain in themselves, by covering them up with many arguments which will not be of lively interest to the reader. If they linger tediously upon points, giving every particular which suggests itself to the mind, their labor will be nearly lost; for the interest of the reader will not be deep enough to lead him to pursue the subject to its close. Much ground may be covered; but the work upon which so much labor is expended is not calculated to do the greatest amount of good, because it fails to awaken a general interest." {3T 35.2} {ST, October 28, 1886 par. 9} {GW92 178.2} {CW 83.2}

"In this age, when pleasing fables are drifting upon the surface and attracting the mind, truth presented in an easy style, backed up by a few strong proofs, is better and more effective than if its advocates were to search extensively, and bring forth an overwhelming array of evidence; for the simple propositions do not then stand so clear and distinct in many minds as before the objections and evidences were brought before them. There are some who take many things for granted, and assertions will go farther with them than long, labored arguments." {3T 36.1} {ST, October 28, 1886 par. 10} {GW92 179.1} {CW 83.1}

Is it your desire to make the effort to understand deeply and communicate clearly?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
