The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 11th day of the 5th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6014 Anno Mundi.

It is 7 weeks until the Fall Sabbaths begin with Trumpets Sabbath on the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month (Friday, September 10 on the 2010 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Thursday, September 9th).

This year, those who follow the Millerite Calendar determination will be one month later than my research has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. The dates on the Jewish Calendar are one day earlier in the spring and one day early in the fall.

Recent newsletters have been looking at different aspects which relate to the issue of Jewish claims for being the Chosen People. A specific focus of this claim is the identity of the 144,000 faithful witnesses at the end of time.

Revelation 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Some claim the 144,000 must be genetic Jews. One of the Scriptures this idea ignores are the words of the first and ultimate Faithful Witness.

Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

The Laodicean church at the end of time is specifically reminded of the faithful and true witness.

Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

His words to the proud Jews of His day:

Matthew 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

It seems clear to me, the special relationship of being the "kingdom of God" is the mark of a Chosen People which is tied to the fruit of obedience.

John 8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

I believe there is a residual blessing on the Jews because of faithful Abraham and God's promise to make of him a great nation. This does not mean they are the Chosen People any more. They have great advantage because they received and still mostly preserve the Law of Moses.

Romans 3:1-3
1 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.
3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

I also do not believe in "Replacement Theology" which says the Christian or some specific denomination is now the Chosen People. The church, the Chosen People, are those individuals who do the will of God. It is not a denomination or any other organized group, no matter how blessed or favored of God. The Jews generally reject the Messiah and Christianity generally rejects the Law of Moses. Both fall short as groups.

I John 5:1-13
1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Study the Greek word "entole" (Strongs=G1785) which is translated commandments in these verses.

You will learn it refers to the Law of Moses. This word is also translated from the Hebrew word "mitzvah" (Strongs=H4687) which refers to the Law of Moses.

The Hebrew word is also translated commandments. Some substitute the phrase "Ten Commandments", consciously or sub-consciously, to limit their responsibility. Only the individual believer who follows all the Word of God is grafted into the root of the Faithful Witness.

Romans 11:17-21
17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

The important use of witnesses is established in the Law of Moses. The importance of two or three credible witnesses is an established Biblical principle found in the Torah and repeated in the New Testament.

Deuteronomy 17:6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.

This principle applies in capital offense cases and in the establishment of guilt for any sin.

Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

The Saviour applied this principle to any disputed matter and made it the heart of His principles for conflict resolution.

Matthew 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

The apostle Paul invoked this principle in his dealings with the contentious Corinthians and his instructions to Timothy.

II Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

I Timothy 5:19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.

Hebrews 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Is your life a faithful witness? Do you follow the Faithful Witness?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
