Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 1st day of the 3rd month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6014 Anno Mundi.

The yearly Pentecost Sabbath is in 5 days starting the evening of the 6th day of the 3rd month (Wednesday, June 8th on the 2011 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Tuesday, June 7th).

An amazing thing occurs in the Gregorian Calendar years of both 2011 and 2012. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar and the Jewish Calendar agree with what my research, and many others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar!

There is a dangerous temptation for people who do work which puts them in public view. The attention they receive can easily flatter them into believing they are better than other people or have special privileges. They can begin feeling they do not have to abide by the rules other people do.

Some people feed the danger of self-exaltation by admiring those who are in public view. They want to be close to them to have some of the attention rub off. They act as if they believe these people have special gifts or insight from God, which these people may have or may not.

Other people will look at those receiving attention and privilege and become jealous. They will find ways to receive attention for themselves. God gives to each the work He assigns them to do.

12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
Matthew 23:12

In the preface of the book I make the following statements:

Eliau is the pen name of Frank T. Clark. I use a pen name because this book is not about me. I am not seeking to promote myself. The pen name is a transliteration of the original Hebrew for Elijah. The picture on the back cover is also for very specific purposes, which are not about promoting my face or me.

What are the specific purposes for placing my picture on the back cover of the book? Why do I say I am not promoting my face or me with my picture?

I have made many symbolic visual statements with the cover of the book. The words, colors, logo, and other graphics all have a specific meaning and purpose. My photograph also has many symbolic meanings. The photograph was taken with my wife's cheaper than $99 camera in our backyard one day after I got home from work. I did not change my clothes or even comb my hair. This is exactly the way I look on any given day.

The first thing you will immediately notice is I wear the tassels as God commanded. (Numbers 15:37-41) They are not long or ornate. (Matthew 23:5)

I did not put on a suit for this picture. I don't wear a suit, even to church. I believe a coat and tie are for the purpose of adornment. (I Timothy 2:9) The dangers of adornment are not limited to women. I don't wear any jewelry, not even a watch.

I don't go to the extreme of wearing a white shirt to prove I am austere or worse black. I consider wearing black to be symbolic of Satanism. I do wear plain dark pants because they receive the most wear and tear so they don't show the dirt. God clothes the flowers of the field in color so it is appropriate to clothe myself in bright cheery colors. (Matthew 6:29) Blue is my absolute favorite color. You should find it easy to guess why. (Numbers 15:38)

You will note I do not shave any part of my face or round the corners of the beard (Leviticus 19:27, Leviticus 21:5). I do clip it from time to time to keep it neat and orderly just as I do all the hair on my head. I believe long scraggly hair is unkempt. You will also note I don't color my hair. This is all the way God made it.

I set the camera to catch the sky because that is where my thoughts are. I was happy to see a few clouds ended up in the picture on the horizon. That is exactly the way God planned it.

When we remain humble before our God in the sight of men, we will be given the opportunity to serve Him. Serving God is the most exalted position we can select for ourselves.

6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
I Peter 5:6
God has allowed His world to be humbled by Satan. He has allowed Satan to spread lies about His character and purposes. This will be allowed only a short time longer. Soon He will set everything right.
10 Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.
Isaiah 33:10
Consider these words from someone who carefully sought to avoid self-exaltation.
"The consecrated messengers who in the early days of Christianity carried to a perishing world the glad tidings of salvation, allowed no thought of self-exaltation to mar their presentation of Christ and Him crucified. They coveted neither authority nor pre-eminence. Hiding self in the Saviour, they exalted the great plan of salvation, and the life of Christ, the Author and Finisher of this plan. Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever, was the burden of their teaching." {AA 209.1}

"If those who today are teaching the word of God, would uplift the cross of Christ higher and still higher, their ministry would be far more successful. If sinners can be led to give one earnest look at the cross, if they can obtain a full view of the crucified Saviour, they will realize the depth of God's compassion and the sinfulness of sin." {AA 209.2}

Do you serve God in humility?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of Iaushua (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
