Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 13th day of the 8th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6017 Anno Mundi.

The Spring Holy Day season begins the New Year in six months with Passover on the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month (Tuesday, April 15th on the 2014, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset on Monday, April 14th).

The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is the same in the spring this year.

There has been a discussion occurring in the church for several years about Creation Affirmation as mentioned in a previous blog (2010-05-28). The church is planning changes to the Fundamental Beliefs to support this effort.

A recent article from the Adventist News Network highlights pending changes related to this issue.

http://news.adventist.org/all-news/news/go/2013-10-15/annual-council-delegates-review-suggested-changes-to-28-fundamental-beliefs/

I found this paragraph from the article a little confusing and misleading:

The change reflects a fuller understanding of the original Hebrew by separating the creation of the "cosmos," or universe, from the six-day creation of life on earth, church leaders said. Adventist theologians believe Genesis 1:1 may refer to creation in a broader sense (see Job 38:7), whereas Exodus 20:11, the draft states, "seems to restrict the creative act to what took place during the six days of creation."

Whenever someone says "the original Hebrew" they are often trying to mask a personal interpretation under a lofty, scholarly, and hidden agenda providing a false "fuller understanding".

In "the original Hebrew", the two verses are identical in the phrase "the heavens and the earth" though there is a different verb for created. The whole idea of TWO creations [separating the creation of the "cosmos," or universe, from the six-day creation of life on earth] is nonsense. The Biblical evidence...

Gen 1:16 And God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day and the smaller light to rule the night, and the stars also.

You can't artificially draw a line separating the "cosmos" from the earth during the creation week, when the Bible is very explicit to include sun, moon, and stars as part of the creation week. The more you try to make things clear, the more they get confused, when you don't go by exactly what the Bible explicitly says.

Now, this gets tricky because I believe as many do that there are other created beings and worlds beyond the angels of heaven. One verse which illustrates this concept from the Bible:

Job 1:6 A day came when the sons of God came to present themselves before IAUA. Satan also came among them.

This could be interpreted as simply referring to the angels as illustrated in this EGW quote:

"The Scriptures declare that upon one occasion, when the angels of God came to present themselves before the Lord, Satan came also among them (Job 1:6)..." {GC 518.3}

However, it is clear EGW believed in multiple "unfallen worlds" beyond heaven.

"There is the throne, and around it the rainbow of promise. There are cherubim and seraphim. The commanders of the angel hosts, the sons of God, the representatives of the unfallen worlds, are assembled. The heavenly council before which Lucifer had accused God and His Son, the representatives of those sinless realms over which Satan had thought to establish his dominion,--all are there to welcome the Redeemer. They are eager to celebrate His triumph and to glorify their King." {DA 834.1}

This might seem to create a quandary. There is one creation of earth, sun, moon, and stars but multiple unfallen worlds. I have a saying, "If the Bible seems to contradict itself, then you need to keep studying until you find the truth."

Here is where it gets even more tricky and sensitive. I am not saying multiple worlds of beings were created at the same. It seems unlikely. My understanding is this. The Bible is speaking of "our" creation and "our" visible universe. The Bible makes it clear to me that there is much that is invisible to us. There are other universes of created beings, which are invisible to us.

I hope this is clear, biblically based, and logical. I am going to stop here rather than getting too speculative.

There is only one creation in one literal week of "our" Heaven and Earth. No amount of scientific logic will cause me to pervert or change what the Bible teaches. There are a lot of questions but I believe God has given us sufficient truth.

We have destroyed our creation with sin. There will be a re-creation or second creation when it is all over.

Are you attentive to God and His Truth?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
