Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!  Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 16th day of the 6th month of the Biblical Calendar in the estimated year 6020 Anno Mundi.

The Fall Sabbaths begin in 2 weeks and 1 day on the 1st day of the 7th month (Saturday, September 3rd of the 2016, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Friday, September 2nd).

On God's Calendar the Biblical month begins on the global day after lunar conjunction. The Biblical year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is a month late this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is also a month late.

In another of my many ponderings, I was thinking about the retort I hear some people make (of the few who show even a slight willingness to listen), when I talk of the Biblical command to keep the Law of Moses and they don't agree. "That is just your viewpoint!"

It is my viewpoint. However, I base my viewpoint on the teachings of our Savior and His Word. A newsletter reader made this response to the last newsletter.

_____

Yes, I like the analogy of people investigating the ocean. But I am still plagued with the question about how to excite within people a desire to get out of their depth and study and practice more deeply. I guess that is the work of the Holy Spirit but I can understand the frustration of God allowing people free choice to ignore Him when He would like to encourage them more strongly to understand and experience more about Himself, and experience the joy of doing that.. I keep asking people if they enjoy studying the Bible. I have never heard anyone say No. So I tell them, Then why don't you spend more time studying and being happy, and leaning more about the love God has for those He made in His image? Don't you want to be more happy????

_____

I responded with a simple smiley face because I know the problem.

Our Savior put it this way:

John 14:19-21
19 This is the condemnation. Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than The Light, because their deeds were evil.
20 Every one who practices evil hates The Light and does not come to The Light, because his deeds will be exposed.
21 He who practices truth comes to The Light, that his deeds may be clearly visible, that they are done in God.

Our Savior is talking about 'hypocrisy'. A pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, that one does not really possess. The Father of lies spreads his confusions and deceptions to those who are not firmly grounded in the Word. Without our Savior's help, we are defenseless to avoid the trap.

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

What a scary warning. If it were possible, the deception would be so great that the elect would be deceived. How do we become the elect? The same Greek word is used in this complex verse, but is translated 'chosen'.

Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

I could write several newsletters on this fascinating topic but I will return to a tighter focus on the subject.

What is the Biblical viewpoint that I work to make my own? The Bible is direct, honest, open, and clear. Dare I say, 'frank'? Sometimes, when the subject is deep, Satan makes it seem unclear. I have discovered that honestly practicing the truth of the Bible, results in a clearer discernment of what the Bible says.

There is a saying that one lie leads to another. In the same manner one denial of truth leads to another denial until you don't know for sure what truth is. It is much simpler to tell the truth and follow the truth. Satan tries to make it look hard but don't be fooled.

Whose viewpoint do you seek to follow?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
