Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!  Are you ready?

Home / Archives

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 23rd day of the 6th month of the Biblical Calendar in the estimated year 6020 Anno Mundi.

The Fall Sabbaths begin in 1 week and 1 day on the 1st day of the 7th month (Saturday, September 3rd of the 2016, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Friday, September 2nd).

On God's Calendar the Biblical month begins on the global day after lunar conjunction. The Biblical year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is a month late this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is also a month late.

Another newsletter reader response to the newsletter pondering the various depths of study and obedience.

Shalom Frank,

Recently the Lesson Quarterly made what appears to be the decision of the Lesson Study committee, which puts the lessons together, that the SDA Church says that, though there is much spiritual information needed by Christians that is contained in the meanings of the yearly Levitical holy days, that members should not observe them. I was astounded and dismayed.

I keep wondering when Ellen White's prophetic statements about the restoration of these sacred times (Prophets and Kings, pgs. 100, 101, 677 and 678), will come to fruition. Right now, I see a church growing in numbers on one hand, and losing members and truth on the other hand.

I also note the increasingly strange and potentially dangerous political situation quickly developing in our country and the world. The pope is circulating about while telling people that "the whole world is on fire." He almost makes Nostradamus look like a real prophet. He seems to be building up to something. Not sure exactly what??

What is the real state of the SDA Church of today? How is it that one can tune in, via LiveStreaming, to a Reformed Jewish Shabbat morning service and hear the very words of God the Son (though they do not say it that way) preached from the Bimah by a 13 year old boy, and compare that with the topical, sugar-coated Pablum I especially heard while attending a local Walla Walla University Church "sermon" being preached by a local "director of Religion"?

The man spoke about the yearly Day of Atonement, based in the book of Leviticus. He went through the basic processes of the High Priest in the Most Holy Place at the Tabernacle/Temple. He said, after he checked with a long-time, non-minister/theologian, that, because the animal sacrificial system ended at the cross, that "we need not be concerned about what happened at the Day of Atonement services". Thus, he said, "this whole sermon was a waste of time." And then he added, "we don't need a yearly Day of Atonment."

Somehow, I guess, I thought the entire purpose of Christianity was to provide a safe, but experiential way for people to remember where they may have gone wrong in aspects of their lives, seek forgiveness from those they have wronged, and then seek Christ's forgiveness, and help in turning away from sinning (violating the Covenant with God).

I am now, as a Jew, more confused now than I was when I thought I was a perhaps mediocre Adventist.

Any thoughts?

Ron Dahlke, still a Judeo-Christian

_____

The response of my thoughts.

Brother Ron,

The state of the world is a sad one, but He is working. The state of the Adventist denomination is a sad one, but He is working. The state of the Jewish denomination in His day on earth was a sad one, but He was working. The state of Jewish tradition in this day is still a sad one, but He is working. There is one church of all those following Him as best they can, as best they know.

Romans 10:12 For there is no difference both of Jew and of Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call on Him.

We make our own attempts to follow Him as best we can, as best we know.

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,

We work, as He guides, to help others see more truth, we believe He has led us to, as He has commanded.

Matthew 28:19-20
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The things we see are discouraging or perplexing sometimes, but we have absolute faith and belief that He is in charge. He has a plan. It is a good plan. His plan is progressing.

II Corinthians 4:8-9
8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

Watch and participate.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Also still a Judeo-Christian, but working toward the 144k.

Be at peace,

_____

I have already used this title in the 2011-08-05 Perplexity newsletter. It has some of the same thoughts. Five years, the issues have changed very little.

"In the time of the end every divine institution is to be restored. The breach made in the law at the time the Sabbath was changed by man, is to be repaired. God's remnant people, standing before the world as reformers, are to show that the law of God is the foundation of all enduring reform and that the Sabbath of the fourth commandment is to stand as a memorial of creation, a constant reminder of the power of God. In clear, distinct lines they are to present the necessity of obedience to all the precepts of the Decalogue. Constrained by the love of Christ, they are to co-operate with Him in building up the waste places. They are to be repairers of the breach, restorers of paths to dwell in." {PK 678.2}

Those who put on their blinders will say that they see her only talking about the weekly Sabbath. Those who study the Word deeply and know her writing well, know that there is much more than just the weekly Sabbath being discussed.

Yes, she said it would happen in the time of the end. We are there... I am waiting for His plan to unfold and working toward participating in the coming reformation with the 144k.

Isaiah 58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

Are you held back by perplexity or guided by determination to restore every divine institution?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
