Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!  Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 28th day of the 11 th month of the Biblical Calendar in the estimated year 6020 Anno Mundi.

The Spring Sabbaths begin in ten weeks and four days on the 15th day of the 1st month (Wednesday, April 12th of the 2017, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Tuesday, April 11th).

On God's Calendar the Biblical month begins on the global day after lunar conjunction. The Biblical year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is a day early.

After more than ten years and hundreds of newsletters, I am beginning to have difficulty writing a newsletter where I don't feel like I am repeating myself or beating a subject to death.

I will share with you an excerpt of a discussion from Facebook in the Bible Explorations group that I hope is leading to an email discussion group. I thought the communication would be helpful to share with you. This is a link to the full discussion. I completely understand, if you avoid Facebook like I did for ten years.

I added some additional comments below, which are shown by a paragraph in parenthesis. These are only for this newsletter.

_____

Tim Brownfield: We are hearing from the Pope and now Walter Veith about the Jubilee year. The Pope last year and Veith, this year. (I think I have that right.) Has Elder VanDenburgh discovered the 7th year rest for the land and the Jubilee cycles as yet? Can we post what we know?

(Let me comment with some questions that immediately came to my mind. Why would we need to wait for what Elder VanDenburgh has discovered? Why would we ask if we can we post what we know? This made it clear to me they expected that we must be careful what we say without approval.)

_____

Bright Nuka: So what's the right timing last year or this year. i don't think they can give the right one because they don't even observe the feasts.

(I agree completely that those who do not follow God in complete obedience are unlikely to be the most solid sources of Bible truth. Those who do follow truth in complete obedience are likely to be the most solid source.)

_____

Frank T. Clark: There is a lot of confusion and disagreement on this subject.

I wrote a chapter reviewing the subject in my book about the Biblical Calendar.

_____

Sandy VanDenburgh-Clark: Not sure anyone REALLY knows. As for 7 years but not the 50th. I don't know. We did rest I think last or two years ago? But....I think we will wait for Him to come. :-) Hopefully not too long. Our trees and garden did okay that year even though we didn't really do much with them. :-) Don't know. Many people come with their "facts" and then arguments come in, I'd rather not. :-)

(I agree that I am not sure anyone knows for sure. This sounded to me like it disparages people who use "facts" and unfairly links them to arguments.)

_____

Tim Brownfield: -- I believe these are problems that will have solutions before the Lord comes and will be part of the last message. So... it is important to study these "problems with the Jewish economy" making an unarguable, everlasting gospel message for the 144,000. They will go out "with there faces lighted up" to preach the "Sabbath more fully."

-- Does the 50th year Jubilee count as the first year of the next cycle or is the 50th the last year of that cycle? A discussion of these things is a blessing among Christian brothers and sisters. We will recognize the following words as a reminder of Pastor John's preaching. If feast observers are not part of the discussion, then who will be? Was 1844 a Jubilee year?

"We do not half understand the Lord’s plan in taking the children of Israel from Egyptian bondage, and leading them through the wilderness into Canaan. As we gather up the divine rays shining from the gospel, we shall have a clearer insight into the Jewish economy, and a deeper appreciation of its important truths. Our exploration of truth is yet incomplete. We have gathered up only a few rays of light. Those who are not daily students of the Word will not solve the problems of the Jewish economy. They will not understand the truths taught by the Temple service. The work of God is hindered by a worldly understanding of His great plan. The future life will unfold the meaning of the laws that Christ, enshrouded in the pillar of cloud, gave to His people".—Letter 156, 1903, pp. 2, 3. (To P. T. Magan, July 27, 1903.) {3MR 259.1}

-- The last message will be the same as our pioneers. Jesus is coming at a specific time. We do not know the date now, but we will. We must "prophesy again" this same message that brought us out of the other churches in 1833 and 1844.

"We have, as had John, a message to bear of the things which we have seen and heard. God is not giving us a new message. We are to proclaim the message that in 1843 and 1844 brought us out of the other churches. We need the Holy Spirit to kindle in our hearts the zeal and earnestness that were then seen among God’s people. I thank the Lord that there are still living a few who can remember those days, and who know whereof they speak." {RH January 19, 1905, par. 22}

(I was very impressed with what this guy had to say but it seemed perilously close to being against what Sandy had to say.)

_____

Frank T. Clark: I hate to say this publically but I have found, in my experience, that Bible Explorations does not like discussion or presentation by anyone except those who are "approved". I agree completely that there are subjects like this one that need to be discussed. There is a danger of discussions becoming confused and angry because not all people are willing to listen as much as they talk. God will direct those who are searching for truth to the path.

_____

Tim Brownfield: I have not found this to be the case. I have known the VanDenburghs for about 30 years and have always found them to love and welcome these discussions.

_____

Frank T. Clark: I have only known them for about 14 years. Maybe there is some reason why my attempts to participate have been ignored... I have not been pushy or confrontational.

_____

Tim Brownfield: Keep tryin'

_____

Frank T. Clark: I am not pushy or confrontational! After a few attempts I simply accept their actions without protest. Maybe you and I could have a discussion. I am open to a deep discussion and study of difficult Biblical truths with anyone who is willing.

(I have no intention of ever being pushy or confrontational. Following the words of our Savior, Matthew 10:14 "whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words,...".)

_____

Frank T. Clark: I must be honest and acknowledge that they have allowed a small visibility of my studies by displaying books I have written, published, printed, and offered for free to others at my own expense. I am extremely grateful for that.

_____

Tim Brownfield: I think what Sandy doesn't want is what might appear as argumentative on a sight that should not be used for expressing negative interaction. I agree.

_____

Frank T. Clark: A polite way of saying don't discuss anything deep or difficult. I understand. :-)

_____

Tim Brownfield: The everlasting gospel message is not about any one individual.

_____

Frank T. Clark: What a silly thing to say. It is not about any one individual but any one individual can contribute. I will say no more... I can tell when I am being rebuffed. No matter how gently. Be at peace, brother.

_____

Tim Brownfield: Discussion is made more difficult when emotion or motive is read into a post. It takes the focus off important truths.

_____

Tim Brownfield: Frank T. Clark -- I just finished reading your article above about the Jubilee / Sabbath years. Very well written and I learned a lot. I appreciate your humility in admitting you are still researching, but It seems as if you have a very reasonable starting point. Lets keep in touch as I believe God wants us to "restore every divine institution."

_____

LynnDel Whitted: Discussions that may develop into arguments can be done on other sites, don't you think? Arguing in public is not a good witness to those who know nothing about what the purpose of the site is.

_____

Frank T. Clark: Why is it assumed a discussion will turn into an argument? Is Bible Explorations not about learning? How can we learn, if we do not discuss? Are we only to be led by those in charge and those who are approved?

_____

LynnDel Whitted: I would answer, but it would look like arguing. :)

_____

Frank T. Clark: You did answer.

_____

Are you open to a deep but difficult discussion?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
