Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!  Are you ready?

Home / Archives

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 18th day of the 13th month of the Biblical Calendar in the estimated year 6020 Anno Mundi.

The Spring Sabbaths begin in 3 weeks and 4 days on the 15th day of the 1st month (Wednesday, April 12th of the 2017, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Tuesday, April 11th).

On God's Calendar the Biblical month begins on the global day after lunar conjunction. The Biblical year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is a day early.

In the continuing email discussions I am shifting the focus from identifying with being Jewish or Christian in the current apostate forms to being Hebrew. This is a name I am using to refer to the form of religion taught by our Savior. This is the ideal of both the Original Testament and the Renewed Testament.

Ron wrote:

Jesus/Y'shua WAS Jewish. His human genome was/is today, Jewish. He will return to earth with the nail marks in His hands and feet. His duality in physical makeup proves that He will always be both, human and divine.

Jesus said to the woman at the well: "Sallvation is of the Jews." Paul, the great apostle to the Gentiles, said "They have the advantage. it was tp them that God gave His oracles." (paraphrased).

There are two kinds of Judaism. One is contained in canon Scripture; the Bible. The other is found in the old, and new Mishna, and the Talmudic writings, all of which are outside the Bible. Doesn't mean all of those writings are bad, though, as Jesus pointed out, some are against the Mosaic Torah that contains the moral laws of God, including the moral statutes and judgments (including the Sabbath and yearly holy days. Exod. 32-thru-23,

To reach "Christians" and "Jews" one would need to point to the Scriptures they both say they hold high, and show them that they are, today, not in "one room," They have pulled away from each other's Scriptures, each of which refers to the other. It is sad that each side can point to the references in the other's "Scriptures" in defense of themselves, but choose not to see the other's evidences in their own "Scriptures."

I believe in the True Jew; Jesus. He said to "do as the Rabbis ("teachers") say when they read and teach Moses (Torah). Thus, it is not that any of us should "do as they do." They oftentimes did not "DO." But, when they read the written Torah, "DO as they say."

I have to agree with you, Frank, that Judaism, and Christianity, as practiced today, are what I call the "lost leading the lost."

But, I don't see anything wrong with following the mitzvot (commandments) of the written Torah that God gave Moses to give to us. Christ was the One who gave it.

Jews are "ignorant of the prophetic NT Scriptures, in part because so-called "Christians" practice supercessionism; the "replacement" of the moral laws of God by those which were only man-made. "This, "Jesus" could not be the Messiah. After all, He made changes to the very Law of God, the breaking of which we Jews were severely punished for."

Perhaps now you can see why studied religious Jews reject the "Christianity" of the "Christians" of today. Jews are no better than Christians. But the Biblical Torah was/is their's to give Christians. Not the other way around. The "Book" was written by them; OT and NT. Roots and Scriptures are "of the Jews."

I would say that Adventism, indeed has an outline of the prophecies, past and present, and of course, future. The problem for Adventism is one of seeing the very themes of God's Plan of Salvation in the meanings of the yearly holy days, thus they reject the apostle, Paul's teaching in Colossians 2:16 and 17. They prefer to say that Paul's understanding of the applicable statutes about what one eats, drinks, keeping of new moons, the feast days and the Sabbath, as somehow having been nailed to the cross of the One who gave them to us through Moses.

They thus choose disobedience to the whole of the moral laws of Torah, rather than keeping all of those Levitical holy times as the Judgments that they are, and thus to appear to be too "Jewish." They are thereby caught in a trap similar to the one that Elijah's people were caught in: riding the fence separating obedience from disobedience, and thinking that the Christ Who will test everyone based on what he or she knew of His moral laws, comparing that with what they in fact, did or didn't do.

Shalom

I responded:

Ron,

You make some very good points. However, you are blurring the line between race, which is irrelevant and religion or faith, which is all that matters for our eternity. We are to focus on being children of God not being a Jew or Christian. Children of God existed for two thousand years before Abraham and there was a single "Jew".

"Salvation is of the Jews" does mean that it was put in writing with what God gave to the "Jews" (even then they were not all Jews) but it was never restricted to the Jews. Even in ThURA it was clearly defined as for everyone who chose to follow. Following all of ThURA is not a good idea, it is a requirement.

Jews are ignorant of the far reaching aspects of prophecy in the OT. As you point out Adventists are ignorant of the depths of prophecy because of their rejection of ThURA. I firmly believe you are limited in all understanding of the Bible, if you do not follow all the Bible. I firmly believe following anything but the Bible also blurs understanding of the Bible. Clinging to any elements of Judaism or Christianity limits your growth into all Biblical truth.

Later I responded: My dear Brother Ron,

In pondering our recent email discussions and our many previous discussions, I wanted to make certain you know that I always appreciate your interaction, viewpoints, and responses. It gets intense sometimes where many people will get flustered or defensive. You appear to have always been calm, cool, and collected about our discussions as I have always been. We don't always agree or see things the same way but I still enjoy the interaction, as I hope you do. It is a good challenge to the thought processes.

I appreciate you.

And so the struggle continues to discuss with each other to seek a deeper understanding.

Do you identify yourself a bit too closely with an apostate or imperfect set of beliefs?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
