Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!  Are you ready?

Home / Archives

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 15th day of the 7th month of the Biblical Calendar in the estimated year 6021 Anno Mundi.

Today is Tabernacles Sabbath, the 15th day of the 7th month (Friday, October 6th of the 2017, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Thursday, October 5th).

On God's Calendar the Biblical month begins on the global day after lunar conjunction. The Biblical year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is a day early.

Another regular reader was prompted by the previous newsletter to share his thoughts on church.

Dear Frank

Well said. Yes, there is no pure church but there is danger in rolling around without attending any church or keeping on changing. Our Lord had the same problem with wrong beliefs in the church, but He still attended the synagogue.

Last sabbath I spoke impromptu in my local church because the preacher cancelled on Friday night and I was asked to preach during sabbath school. I sent up a prayer, looked at the outlines I had with me and decided to preach on Leviticus 23. I warned them that I needed their full attention so they did not misunderstand what I said. In the afternoon Bible study we continued by going through more detail. Our church is small (it is the English speaking church in our local city) but I think there was some impact. I have written before about God's time schedule in detail, and gave this out yesterday. This is why I attend church. Not to get but to give. Praise our Almighty heavenly Father!

Yes, we still celebrated (if that is the word), the Day of Atonement on our own at home, but soon there may be others moving forward in the truth of our Father. The core always is our own communion with our heavenly Father. He will guide us when and where to share it.

I responded:

XXX,

I would use the word "observe" but it is indeed a "celebration". Though Atonement is described as a day of sincere and serious repentance and the humbling of our souls for sin, it leads to joy in communion with the Father. In typical Jewish traditions they substitute a physical act (fasting) for the inner sincere humility of repentance. As one of the final days of Judgment it is a joyful time for the righteous that God's Truth receives vindication. It has a touch of sadness that so many have chosen evil ways instead of good.

In America the rebellious SDA are becoming very hardened against God's Calendar. There used to be a touch of acceptance that some SDA saw things differently than the SDA traditional (Catholic) position but it has been turning more and more to rejection and labelled a denial of Christ's sacrifice or SINFUL. I love these verses.

John 3:18-21
18 He that believes on him is not condemned, but he that does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.
19 This is the condemnation. Light is come into the world but men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 Because every one that does evil hates the light and does not come to the light that his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that does truth comes to the light that his deeds may be made manifest that they are done in God.

The rebellious SDA will deny or ignore the words of their proclaimed prophet.

"In consequence of continual transgression, the moral law was repeated in awful grandeur from Sinai. Christ gave to Moses religious precepts which were to govern the everyday life. These statutes were explicitly given to guard the ten commandments. They were not shadowy types to pass away with the death of Christ. They were to be binding upon man in every age as long as time should last. These commands were enforced by the power of the moral law, and they clearly and definitely explained that law." {RH, May 6, 1875 par. 10} {1BC 1104.6} {ST April 15, 1875} Ellen G. White, "The Law of God", Review and Herald, May 6, 1875

A few more thoughts on church organisations and accepting truth. When I present Bible truth in church (for example, on the feast days), I get people to read the text out of their own Bibles and ask them to read it out for all to hear. It is amazing how many are like Paul, they seem to have scales before their eyes and find it hard to see the obvious. I keep reflecting on the comments Paul made about how spiritual things are spiritually discerned. Many are content with anything that will maintain the status quo and find it hard to look at the Bible text to find out what it is really saying if it is not in harmony with their previous opinion. How often in the First and Renewed testaments the comment comes up "You have ears, but hear not, and eyes, but see not."

May our heavenly Father ensure we are open to receive all His truth.

I responded:

XXX,

I often ponder on these verses, in my own translation.

Malachi 4:4-6
4 "Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, the statutes and judgments."
5 "Listen, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of IAUA."
6 "He will restore the heart of the fathers in the children and return the heart of the children to that of their fathers. Then I will come to strike the earth with total destruction."

Amplifying the sixth verse: He will restore the obedient heart of the patriarch fathers in the children of Israel and return the hearts desire of the children to that of their fathers.

I am eagerly awaiting the soon coming revelation of the Third Elijah.

Dear Frank

Great thoughts! I knew Malachi 4 was talking about restoration of the children to the patriarchal fathers, but I had not understood that it was talking about the restoration of the obedient hearts of our forebears. Yes, sounds correct!

I responded:

Dear XXX,

By "sounds correct" I assume you are saying it matches the words and patterns of all the Bible tells us. :-)

The obedient observance of Tabernacles is a special time of joy because this is the day we will be rescued from this sin torn earth and taken home with God. I am filled with eager anticipation waiting for this rescue. I am reminded of these verses:

Habakkuk 2:1-3
1 I will stand at my watch and place myself in a tower. I will wait to see what He will say to me. What will He answer to my complaint?
2 IAUA answered me, and said, "Write the vision. Make it plain on a sign that he who is running may read it.
3 "The vision is about an appointed time. At the end it will happen. It is not a lie. Though it may not be for a while, wait for it. It will certainly come, it will not delay.

The wistful thoughts of my heart's longing, "It will certainly come."

Are you eagerly following God's Calendar to be prepared in anticipation of the fulfilment of His Plan?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
