Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is day 16 of month 3 of the Biblical Calendar in the estimated year 6022 Anno Mundi.

The Fall Sabbaths begin with Trumpets in fourteen weeks and four days, day 1 of month 7 (Tuesday, September 11 of the 2018, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Monday, September 10).

On God's Calendar the Biblical month begins on the global day after lunar conjunction. The Biblical year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is a month late in the Gregorian 2018 year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar will be two days early in spring and one day early in fall.

The subject of Present Truth was brought up and discussed from the Sabbath School lesson recently. This was like using a knife to poke at a plastic water bottle for me. I started leaking out. The lesson acknowledges that truth unfolds with more light as time progresses. Ellen spoke of this often. I asked a question something like:

How can we call our message "present truth" when it hasn't changed since before 1888?

I was privileged to recite the Three Angels' Message. I mentioned that there was more light in the Fourth Angel, which was not accepted by the denomination. Unfortunately, this led to a bit of a discussion that was going to get me into trouble with the pastor. I told those who asked more that they could see me after class. No one did.

I have written printed books and online versions of the books that already cover this subject extensively for the deep Bible student. I will not repeat myself.

I will however add to what was written with some additional comments. The deep Bible student can continue research on this subject by investigating the writings of Ellen for some key phrases, "two laws" and "added law".

I firmly believe our current understanding of the Mark of the Beast is limited. The primary test is clearly understood as the weekly Sabbath. Many believe that if they follow the weekly Sabbath then they have done enough. They don't need any more. However, even Ellen said there is more to it.

"The light we have received upon the third angel's message is the true light. THE MARK OF THE BEAST IS EXACTLY WHAT IT HAS BEEN PROCLAIMED TO BE. NOT ALL IN REGARD TO THIS MATTER IS YET UNDERSTOOD, NOR WILL IT BE UNDERSTOOD UNTIL THE UNROLLING OF THE SCROLL; but a most solemn work is to be accomplished in our world. The Lord's command to His servants is: "Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins." Isaiah 58:1. {6T 17.1} {CTr 350.4} {CH 520.3} {LDE 17.3} {8T 159.3} "Melbourne, N. S. W., February 3, 1898." (I added capitalization for emphasis.)

As the Bible and Ellen (to a lesser extent) state clearly, the Law of Moses must be remembered today. So many seek to remain ignorant because they think their ignorance excuses them.

"It is plainly stated in the Scriptures that if the whole congregation sin through ignorance, the priests shall make an atonement for the sins when they are made apparent, and the sin of ignorance shall be forgiven. The work of Jesus is to forgive the sins of the past, but if light comes from heaven to the church, and men refuse the light because its acceptance involves a cross, then they stand guilty before God; for they have made it manifest that they love the world more than they love Christ and the truth. Those who have an opportunity to hear the truth, and yet take no pains to hear or understand it, thinking that if they do not hear, they will not be accountable, will be judged guilty before God the same as if they had heard and rejected. There will be no excuse for those who choose to go in error when they might understand what is truth. In his sufferings and death Jesus has made atonement for all sins of ignorance, but there is no provision made for wilful blindness. Those who have hid their eyes from the truth lest they should be convinced, must exercise repentance toward God for the transgression of his law, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ, that their sins of ignorance in the transgression of the Sabbath may be forgiven. {RH, April 25, 1893 par. 10}"

We can reasonably minimize the disruption to our lives by realizing that when we learn more truth we are not called to immediately shout it to others. We are not even required to make immediate changes in our lives. We are expected to learn and grow. The Holy Spirit will lead us to what we should do.

Have you carefully sought present truth?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
