Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is day 23 of month 8 of the Biblical Calendar in the estimated year 6022 Anno Mundi. The Spring Sabbaths begin with the Biblical New Year's day on the First Sabbath of Unleavened Bread in 20 weeks, day 15 of month 1 (Friday, March 22 of the 2019, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Thursday, March 21). On God's Calendar the Biblical month begins on the global day after lunar conjunction. The Biblical year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is a month late in the Gregorian 2019 year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar will also be a month late. A newsletter reader responded with a question about the Mark of the Beast (MOTB - software engineers love acronyms). _____ They wrote: So can one of the MOTB be ignoring the yearly Sabbaths? Let me know if I am close .. _____ I responded: Yes! The yearly Sabbaths are one of the MOTB. In fact, the entire Gregorian Calendar is a MOTB. _____ I realize that sometimes the things I say and write can be confusing. Communication is difficult in this world when you have so many people with so many different understandings and assumptions caused by the confusions of Satanic deceptions. The MOTB is about following Satan's counterfeits instead of God's truth. Following Satan's counterfeits is a form of worship or obedience. While there is an end time permanent MOTB, it is always true that there is a mark of obedience to either God or Satan. At the end, everything will become clear and open for all to see, which results in a final permanent choice. There will be no uncertainty or lack of knowledge. I believe all of the Law of Moses (God's Law) will be clearly recognized as applying to all believers at that time. The greatest and most specific MOTB is Sunday observance. Primarily because that symbol occurs every week. However, any choice to follow Satan's deceptions and counterfeits is a smaller part of the MOTB. People can claim ignorance with excuses but God knows the heart. Therefore, worshipping on God's weekly Sabbath is counterfeited by Satan's Sunday worship. Following God's yearly Sabbath is counterfeited by Catholic and worldly holidays. God's Calendar is counterfeited by the pagan Babylonian Roman Catholic Gregorian Calendar. Please understand! We live in the world Satan claims as his own so we must be aware of the counterfeit calendar. However! When we choose to live in ignorance of any part of God's Calendar or disobey any requirement, we will be judged guilty. Please understand! We may be ignorant of parts of God's guidance because we have not carefully studied and understood God's Word. God will make sure we have the opportunity to make a choice to remain in ignorance or follow in obedience. Because of the lingering effects of the Great Apostasy, all truth is not yet widely available. It will be shortly (Malachi 4:4). John 16:12-13 I have many things more to say to you, but you are not yet ready. However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth... He will show you things to come. The leaders bear a great burden (guilt) for their failure (sin) to see the truth and teach it. All believers are ultimately responsible for themselves. A reader commented: _____ They wrote: Glad to get your email, I don't always respond but do enjoy them. I did mention in SS class about the feast days still being in force and it was brought up that the leadership had decided that they were done away with, to which I replied, it was the leadership that murdered Jesus. We cannot blindly follow the leadership or any human, the Lord guides and directs each one of us into His truth as we study His Word. _____ I responded: That was a very good observation. We are commanded to seek Him with all our heart. How many do? _____ Another reader responded. _____ They wrote: I have also been through this argumentation, but actually I don't think it is just tradition SDAs are following. They are following each other in ignorance of what the Bible actually teaches because they have not studied it for themselves. Perhaps this would fit under your definition of tradition, but all religions today are the same. They stick with the crowd because they do not know anything else. I am constantly enjoining the study of the Bible but I don't think anyone is listening. The herd instinct is everything. _____ I responded: I certainly did not mean they are intentionally following Catholic tradition. However, as you said, out of ignorance they just do what everybody else is doing, which I believe is one of the definitions of tradition. :-) (I did consult dictionary.com.) Herd instinct is not always bad. The very young in particular learn everything they know, do, and say from copying what they see and hear. They can't apply value judgments and reason because they don't have any yet. This is why good parenting is so important. It is incredibly important to teach Bible truth from the youngest age. At some point, people get lazy or were never taught to apply values and reason. One of my favorite quotes: "Think" (Thomas J. Watson 1911) _____ Are you seeking for all truth? I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
