Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is day 27 of month 10 of the Biblical Calendar in the estimated year 6022 Anno Mundi.

The Spring Sabbaths begin with the Biblical New Year's day on the First Sabbath of Unleavened Bread in 11 weeks, day 15 of month 1 (Friday, March 22 of the 2019, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Thursday, March 21).

On God's Calendar the Biblical month begins on the global day after lunar conjunction. The Biblical year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is a month late in the Gregorian 2019 year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar will also be a month late.

In a recent Sabbath School study, the presenter took a very special approach. I suspect they worked as a professional teacher because of the way they shaped the discussion. (I don't know the people in my new congregation very well yet or maybe I am having trouble remembering...)

During the discussion, while listening to the responses of the congregation, I began to feel troubled.

I heard members of the congregation (M) claim to love God. I remembered my many interactions with Sunday Protestants (P) who claim the same thing.

I heard M who were proud of their knowledge of the Bible. I have heard that from some P.

I heard M claim they had the truth. I have heard that from P.

I heard M claim they obeyed God and His Word. I have heard the same from P.

Do you see a pattern here? To M it is obvious that P do not obey God and His Word. It is true that M do follow God more closely in some points. My study of the Bible leads me to see that M do not follow all of God's Word. They have carefully prepared reasons (excuses) why they do not follow all of God's Word. Primarily they claim the same thing P do. It was for the Jews, not us.

I follow all that the Word specifies as commanded by the voice of God.

Malachi 4:4 Remember the Law of Moses my servant, which I commanded to him at Horeb for all Israel, the statutes and judgments.

I consider myself a ThURA-observant Seventh-day Adventist. ThURA is the Biblical Hebrew word for the Masoretic word Torah. It is true I do not do the animal sacrifices prescribed in the Bible. Primarily this is because God's Word specifically tells us that they would cease.

Daniel 9:27 He will confirm the covenant with many for one week. In the middle of the week, He will cause the sacrifice and the grain offering to cease. On swift wings will come many abominations. He will destroy it at the end. The judgment will be passed on the destroyer. (FTCABE)

I pondered what made the difference in my choices to follow all God asks and the typical choices of SAD (Standard Adventist Doctrine). I decided the difference is passion. A sincere desire to follow all our Savior says because I love Him passionately. Everybody says they love Him but why don't they do everything He says? This choice compares directly to marriage.

Some people marry primarily to satisfy sexual lusts. Some marry for companionship. Many do not passionately commit themselves to all aspects of their marriage. This is why marriages fail. This is why religion becomes Laodicean.

Revelation 3:14-19 Write this to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of all that God has made. I know what you say and do. You are not hot or cold. I wish that you were hot or cold! But you are only warm and not hot or cold. So I am ready to spit you out of my mouth. You say you are rich. You think you have become wealthy and don't need anything. However, you don't know that you are really miserable, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. I advise you to buy gold from me. Gold made pure in fire. Then you will be rich. I tell you this. Buy clothes that are white. Then you will be able to cover your shameful nakedness. I also tell you to buy medicine to put on your eyes. Then you will be able to see. I correct and punish the people I love. Therefore, demonstrate that nothing is more important to you than living right. Change your hearts and lives.

When you truly love your Savior (and spouse), you will want to learn everything about them. You will talk to them often and you will listen to every word they say. You will want to do the things that they do. You will be concerned about everything that concerns them. This is passion. You will NOT look for excuses to ignore anything they say.

Are you passionate to follow our Savior?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
