Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!  Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is day 10 of month 12 of the year 1987 Anno Crucis of the Biblical Calendar.

The Spring Sabbaths begin with the Biblical New Year's day on the First Sabbath of Unleavened Bread in 5 weeks, day 15 of month 1 (Friday, March 22 of the 2019, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Thursday, March 21).

On God's Calendar the Biblical month begins on the global day after lunar conjunction. The Biblical year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is a month late in the Gregorian 2019 year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar will also be a month late.

A newsletter reader has responded to last weeks blog.

They wrote:

Thanks for your response to my friends email.

They are very opposed to the moon for anything because they believe the Hebrews brought a form of moon worship back with them from the Babylonian exile.

I can understand if the comments about counterfeit calendars may have rubbed you the wrong way. But I personally would like to know your objections.

Can you point to just one CCC item that you have issues with?

The only thing I trust from Judaism is the Scripuures, and even then one has to be careful about which version.

You are right about the MazZoretic text.

I trust nothing from the Catholic church.

I am trying to figure this out myself and would like to hear your position on a specific item.

_____

I responded:

I do not accept prejudice in any form. I believe error can be separated from truth in both Judaism and Catholicism. Failure to do so leads one to lose sight of God's plan. I am also not prejudiced against any Bible translation. Each has some errors. We are instructed by the Word to compare the entire Word for understanding. God is omnipotent and will protect His Word from excess corruption.

You are writing in generalities.

Can you give me one specific example?

If I didn't know you better, I would be insulted by your insinuation that I am prejudiced because I don't trust the established power structures of Judaism and Catholicism.

I am not prejudiced. There are many wonderful Hebrews and Catholics. Their religious infrastructure is a different matter.

So, again ... can you give me one specific instance where you believe CCC is wrong?

Later they wrote:

Ok, your newsletter has given me the one specific issue I can focus on.

Sorry if it was included in your earlier emails. I just must have missed it.

I will do some research on this and respond later.

I had created a very good response but one key stroke magically deleted it all and I don't have time to rewrite it. Will try again tomorrow.

This is very good and I am having to study this in depth for myself.

_____

I responded:

I understand the confusion. I need some clarification. What does CCC stand for? Let me back up and avoid generalities. I assume we are talking about the Biblical Calendar specifics compared to what Charlene is saying. The day begins at sunset. The week is a continuous cycle of seven days since creation. The month starts after the new moon. The year starts with Passover (Crucifixion) on the 15th day of the fist month. Passover must be after spring equinox. Are we on the same page?

Prejudice can appear in many different ways. For example, a person can be prejudiced again all elements of a belief system when only some of those elements are incorrect.

It is hard to present clearly what CCC [Later I found out it is Covenant Calendar Club] stands for but here is what I understand. (Everyone claims their calendar is Biblical....) Their teachings are presented in a confusing way but I have learned a lot by watching them anyway.

They believe the day starts in the morning, Sabbath is on a 7 day cycle, the month is independent of the moon and based on the count from the first day of the year that starts the day after the vernal equinox. Passover is after the vernal equinox. 364 days in a year with 4 intercalular days.

That at least is my understanding so far. I may be wrong.

Prejudice is a strong word to throw around.

I am prejudiced against falsehood in any form.

_____

I responded:

You ae absolutely correct that prejudice is a strong word so I don't use it lightly. I also am prejudiced against falsehood. I am also prejudiced against prejudice in any form!

_____

They wrote:

Considering how the rabbis treated Yeshua and distorted the Scriptures to deny Him, I don't give them much credit. The Mishna/Talmud are interesting from a historical perspective but I don't consider them scripture.

And considering how the Catholics changed the Sabbaths and persecuted Sabbath keepers, I don't follow their authority on anything.

_____

I responded:

If you deny the good with the bad you are left with confusion. One of our Savior's own words of guidance pops into mind.

Matthew 23:1-3 KJV
1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

Matthew 23:1-3 ERV
1 Then Jesus spoke to the people and to his followers. He said,
2 "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees have the authority to tell you what the Law of Moses says.
3 So you should obey them. Do everything they tell you to do. But their lives are not good examples for you to follow. They tell you to do things, but they don't do those things themselves.

Yes, the Catholic Church apostatized. However they were originally the Church of the apostles. They still preserve some elements of truth. Even the pagan, Babylonian, Gregorian Calendar preserves the correct weekly cycle including the seventh day. They simply moved the true holy day of rest to the first day. Denying these things is prejudice, plain and simple. Deceivers say these ridiculous things to gain followers but I am not fooled.

_____

They wrote:

Yes, whenever the Pharisees read the Torah, we are to follow what they say ... although they did tamper with the scriptures in the Mazzoretic text. So we even have to be careful there. When they try to teach us their own ways (the Talmud, Gematria, Kaballah, etc) we are not to listen to them.

I don't deny the truth that is in the other religions but I don't follow the 7 day cycle because of the Catholic Church. I follow it because it is in Scripture. Why waste time studying Catholic doctrine?

So I don't understand why you defend those who killed Christ and those who killed Christians who kept the Sabbath. To each his own. If you want to look to them for truth, that is your decision. I won't waste my time on them.

_____

I responded:

I don't pay any attention to the Talmud, … either. However, we must follow some of the tradition of the Jews. Otherwise, for example, how do we know which day of the 7 day cycle is the seventh day. The Bible can not possibly tell us that because there is no way to know without tradition. I believe this is God's intended design. That is why I am leaving for holy convocation shortly.

I don't defend them and I don't look to them for truth but I recognize that some elements of truth are illuminated by their practice.

I suspect we will reach an understanding as we discuss details.

They wrote:

Since I have not studied this out, I need to be quiet on this. Will do some research today. Am looking at your calendar study online. Also trying to find the CCC teaching on it.

We could go around and around in generalities. I want to go to specifics. I realize that all of this is on your website. Thanks for your time.

Have a nice Shabbat gathering. I do mine online.

_____

I responded:

Yes, you need to study this. :-) Give me a specific question and I will certainly try to do it justice. I am being very specific but from my viewpoint. It is a huge subject. Without a specific question, I don't know what you need.

_____

Whenever I hear people speak falsehoods, I generally respond with the truth I understand and participate in discussion based on evaluating what the Bible says.

Whenever I hear people who are teaching falsehoods, I will generally respond with the truth I understand and participate in discussion based on evaluating what the Bible says. However, when I see pressure being applied I will generally withdraw from the conversation. It is becoming useless argument. I don't argue with deluded people.

Are you prejudiced against something more than falsehood?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
