Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is day 16 of month 10 of the year 1988 Anno Crucis of the Biblical Calendar.

God's New Years Day is in 16 weeks and six days, day 15 of month 1 (Thursday, April 9 of the 2020, Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset Friday, April 10).

On God's Calendar the Biblical month begins on the global day after lunar conjunction. The Biblical year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same in the Gregorian 2020 calendar year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is also the same.

There is a difficulty in our house. I suspect many of you have a similar difficulty. The world has many people who have not learned to discipline themselves to do the hard work that God has commanded for us to live and eat. This causes many parents a large amount of stress.

Genesis 3:17-19
17 Then God said to the man, "I commanded you not to eat from that tree. But you listened to your wife and ate from it. So I will curse the ground because of you. You will have to work hard all your life for the food the ground produces.
18 The ground will grow thorns and weeds for you. And you will have to eat the plants that grow wild in the fields. 19 You will work hard for your food until your face is covered with sweat. You will work hard until the day you die, and then you will become dust again. I used dust to make you, and when you die, you will become dust again."

Now, take note that I am not talking about people who are not able to work. Defining the inability to work is a complicated issue. Many people struggle with this issue. There is also the issue of not being able to find a job. However, many times people do not take available jobs because they do not like the hard work or low wages. When needed we must work at low paying jobs until we can find better work.

I am also talking about individual responsibility, not organizational. The guidelines are a bit different for an organization. God expects individuals to help the needy brother in the faith as far as practical. Family comes first but also the needy brother in the faith. Here is some very helpful guidance using the principles from the year of release.

Deuteronomy 15:1-11
1 "At the end of every seven years, you must cancel debts.
2 This is the way you must do this. Everyone who has lent money to another Israelite must cancel the debt. He should not ask a fellow Israelite to repay the debt, because IAUA said to cancel debts during that year.
3 You may require a foreigner to repay you, but you must cancel any debt another Israelite owes you.
4 There should not be any poor people in your country, because IAUA your God is giving you this land. And IAUA will greatly bless you.
5 But this will happen only if you obey IAUA your God. You must be careful to obey every command that I have told you today.
6 Then IAUA your God will bless you, as he promised. And you will have enough money to make loans to many nations. But you will not need to borrow from anyone. You will rule over many nations. But none of these nations will rule over you.
7 "When you are living in the land IAUA your God is giving you, there might be some poor people living among you. You must not be selfish. You must not refuse to give help to them.
8 You must be willing to share with them. You must lend them whatever they need.
9 "Don't ever refuse to help someone simply because the seventh year, the year for canceling debts, is near. Don't let an evil thought like that enter your mind. You must never have bad thoughts about someone who needs help. You must not refuse to help them. If you don't help the poor, they might complain to IAUA, and he will judge you guilty of sin.
10 "So be sure to give to the poor. Don't hesitate to give to them, because IAUA your God will bless you for doing this good thing. He will bless you in all your work and in everything you do.
11 There will always be poor people in the land. That is why I command you to be ready to help your brother or sister. Give to the poor in your land who need help.

The apostle Paul details balancing guidance about God's expectation for us to work to eat.

II Thessalonians 3:6-12
6 Brothers and sisters, by the authority of IAUA Jesus Christ we tell you to stay away from any believer who refuses to work. People who refuse to work are not following the teaching that we gave them.
7 You yourselves know that you should live like we do. We were not lazy when we were with you.
8 We never accepted food from anyone without paying for it. We worked and worked so that we would not be a burden to any of you. We worked night and day.
9 We had the right to ask you to help us. But we worked to take care of ourselves so that we would be an example for you to follow.
10 When we were with you, we gave you this rule: "Whoever will not work should not be allowed to eat."
11 We hear that some people in your group refuse to work. They are doing nothing except being busy in the lives of others.
12 Our instruction to them is to stop bothering others, to start working and earn their food. It is by the authority of IAUA Jesus Christ that we are urging them to do this.

I believe it is clear that temporary assistance with food and other needs is appropriate. This is particularly the case with disasters or setbacks. I hope this talk helps you with the struggles on this issue.

Do you have a love of reading the Bible? Do you have a love of Truth from the Bible?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
