Jewish tradition has attempted to hide the name of God creating the principle of the "Ineffable Name". This means the name not to be spoken. Christian tradition has blindly followed this same principle. A deeper knowledge of God's word and His name is not optional.

6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Hosea 4:6

Please do not misunderstand my zeal, eagerness, and enthusiasm in presenting this subject. I believe it is valuable to know and use IAUA as the Sacred Name of God. I do not believe God condemns anyone for their understanding or practice. I am presenting ideas for you to consider.

"Lord" is a title and not a name. Respect for God is shown by using His name and not just a title. Would you tell your spouse, "I love you, wife"? What does God say about His name?

7 Thou shalt not take the name of IAUA thy God in vain; for IAUA will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Exodus 20:7

There are 7 times when His name is crudely translated "Jehovah". Jehovah is an English name adapted from a German pronunciation of a Jewish scheme to hide the true Hebrew pronunciation of the name of God.

18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is IAUA, art the most high over all the earth.
Psalms 83:18

Intimacy with God is increased when we use His name. How important is this to God?

15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, IAUA God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
Exodus 3:15

How does this promise apply to the modern children of God, if they don't even know His name? What does it mean if they don't even want to know His name and make fun of those who do?

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
II Chronicles 7:14

One of the false claims you will hear is the name of God did not exist before the Exodus. The use of the name of God clearly predates the Jewish nation and the Flood.

26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of IAUA.
Genesis 4:26

The Messiah had very specific words about His purpose to spread the name of God. These quotes are from His prayer to our Father.

6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world:
John 17:6
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it:
John 17:26

Isn't it amazing how thousands of people say this prayer, which proclaims the importance of God's name, yet very few of His people know His name.

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Matthew 6:9

There is proof in the Bible for how to spell and pronounce the name of God. It requires careful study led by the Holy Spirit to discover this proof. The full proof requires a detailed study and examination, but the basic idea is simple.

The Bible records the name of God over 6000 times in Hebrew script. Hebrew scholars translated the Bible into Greek. In several cases they did not translate a special Hebrew word but transliterated it. There are a couple of universal words which are Hebrew.

9 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.
Psalms 135:1
9 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Revelation 19:6
