Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly sabbath. I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord.

The devil tried to kill me. Last Friday afternoon I accepted a position with 3ABN. I drove home to Pennsylvania as planned to help my wife pack up our house and move the furniture into storage. At about 4:00 AM a drunk driver crashed into a guardrail on I80. They pulled back out into the left lane of the freeway and apparently stalled. They abandoned the car and left it without any lights on.

I was about 40 miles from home when I saw the car sitting in the left hand lane with no lights on. I immediately tried to swerve right to avoid the car but it caught the left front fender. A truck behind me also crashed into the wreckage.

I discovered that when air bags go off the car fills with smoke. It was quite a while before I could see the road again. An angel guided my car because it did not go off the road but continued straight under its own momentum. My life was saved by the seat belt, the air bag, and my guardian angel. Not necessarily in that order.

When the car stopped at the side of the road and I got out, I turned around to see the truck crashed into the guardrail and sideways across the road where I had been only moments before. The left front of the car was smashed and the wheel was hanging off at an angle. The driver door was scratched and dented. The passenger door was ripped apart.

I had the strangest sensation of calm which has hung over me ever since. I have had a very strong feeling of assurance ever since that I am doing just what the Lord wants me to do. These words of go through my mind:

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4

The trials and tribulations continue and are aggravated by having lost my car. I now have a job working for the Lord at a Christian ministry which can be considered a reasonable exchange. My entire years salary will not pay for a replacement car but the value of following the Lord's will is priceless. My needs are not met by a salary nor is my future in the hands of the organization for which I work. My needs are met by God. My future is in His hands.

May we all find peace and unity in the soon coming of IAUShUO (Ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.

Shabbat Shalom
