Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly sabbath. I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord.

I started this newsletter on 2005-10-28 but didn't finish it till now. I have been extremely overwhelmed with the work I am doing. The Lord has led me into a very demanding situation. I am learning even more of what it means to trust in the Lord.

I noticed that last week has been a year since I started my news letter. There is no particular significance to the anniversary.

It reminds me that last week was the anniversary of the 1844 Day of Expectation/Disappointment according to the Gregorian calendar. Some churches noted this and others ignored it. I ignore it because as a date on God's calendar the Gregorian date is irrelevent. I celebrated the Day of Atonement on the Gregorian date of September 14 with fasting as the Bible specifies.

Some celebrated a month later on the date specified by the popular Jewish calendar.

It is sad and ironic that churches ignore October 22 and the Day of Atonement but you can be sure there will be many celebrations on the pagan holiday of December 25. I face with dread the return of the pagan holiday season.

Ezekiel 9
4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

I dread being faced again with the idolatrous evergreen tree set up in the Lord's house.

Deuteronomy 12
2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:

I Kings 14
23 For they also built them high places, and images, and groves, on every high hill, and under every green tree.

II Kings 16
4 And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.

II Kings 17
10 And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree:

You said:

"In the apparent absence of clear guidelines, those who are seeking to follow God's law will be led by the Holy Spirit to decide whether to follow a course of unity with a concensus decision or their own best understanding."

We all know the warnings against following the majority. ;-)

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:13-14

Contradictions abound...

The website which was referenced:

http://www.karaite-korner.org/abib.shtml

Indicates that personal observance in Israel found the barley ready to harvest on March 8, 2005 indicating that March 12 was acceptable as the start of the new year.

I stand by my statement. There appears to be a contradiction but "In the apparent absence of clear guidelines" it is also important "to follow a course of unity with a concensus decision". I don't have all the answers. I suspect that we still await the arrival of "The Third Elijah". This anticipated prophet from God will present the final message in the power of the Holy Spirit.

The power of the Holy Spirit will be unmistakable. It will be discernable from the false by a complete adherence to, and teaching of, ALL of God's statutes.

Will you recognize the Third Elijah Message when it comes?

May we all find peace and unity in the soon coming of IAUShUO (Ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.

Shabbat Shalom
