Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly sabbath. I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord.

I just read through most of your website; much improvement from 1 1/2 years ago when I first read it. It seems clearer and easier to understand, and more sensitive as Jesus would be, not judgemental, etc. I appreciated the section on "New Light". I wonder what you think of the 10 Commandments Day and what 3 ABN did on it. Personally I feel that may well have been the beginning of Revelation 18. About a month before the series 3 ABN did, I honestly sensed God's still small voice calling me out of Babylon. I spent time much time in prayer, as has my husband. Even though I heard this voice many times, and followed it, I still waited to see the reception of our SDA churches to the ten commandments series by 3 ABN. I was saddened and shocked to see the elders and pastor perposefully refuse to let the congregation know about that weekend. It seems that their behavior is showing they are "weighed in the balances and found wanting". Still, I am praying about my own resentments towards them and my own need to have my heart right with God. As I have done that, I still pray for those at the church we attended. We are spending our Sabbaths re-learning old truths, and some new, privately. I do not think we can consienciously participate any more in a church that deliberately choose to not even let the congregation know. But, I am praying. Time will tell. But I do think time is so far shorter than we imagine. Waiting on God for His leading in our lives at this point. Once again, I am glad to see what God has done in your heart and how the website has improved.

Thank you very much for your comments. God has done a lot to teach me about the insidious nature of judgmentalism and criticism.

The 10 Commandments Day and what 3ABN did is an important event though I feel a great deal of concern because 3ABN is teaching that the entire law of Moses was nailed to the cross which is a very dangerous, controversial, confusing, and contradictory position. Have you read their book? You may be surprised at what it says. Personally, I do not feel that this is the beginning of Revelation 18.

If you are referring to the SDA church as Babylon, I must respectfully disagree. Whatever the problems of the church, and they are many, this is the ship that will take us home. (An Ellen White analogy.) There will be many "tares" in the church until the end, but this is also where the "wheat" will eventually be found. There will soon be a great shaking, but those faithful to God will be inside the church, not outside.

No, I hadn't heard 3 ABN say the entire law was nailed to the cross. I listed to 3/4 of what they presented and I did not hear that. I did hear Doug Batchelor say the ceremonial law was nailed to the cross. I know he and you would not agree on that one. I don't have the book "Ten Commandments, Twice Removed" which I heard them talk about. My mom sent me a copy of the book "The Ten Commandments, what if we did it God's way", by 3 ABN. Just started reading it. Good so far, but am on the 3rd chapter. I'll let you know what I think after completing the book. I wasn't referring to the entire SDA church as babylon. There are specific things for the particular SDA church we have been attending. I had never thought I would have said that about even one church, even with problems. But for this one particular church, I am hearing God say "come out of her my people". I can see with this one church how what EGW says "whole churches will be lost", could possibly apply to this church. This is only for this one church, not for the whole denomination. I am sad about that, praying about not being judgemental and praying for them that God will still reach them. I don't want to go into more detail about that. Thanks for your comments!

There is a great deal of semantic confusion that exists in what is meant by "law", "Moses law", and "Ceremonial law" among other terms. "Moses law" which 3ABN says is nailed to the cross usually means everything except the ten commandments. "Ceremonial law" usually means the sacrificial system which I agree was abolished at the cross. There is a great deal of "Moses law" after excluding the "Ceremonial law" which is usually referred to as the "Statutes". I do believe the Bible and Ellen teaches the "Statutes" are valid for our time. My favorite Bible quote is:

Malachi 4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, [with] the statutes and judgments.

and I recall for example a quote from Ellen:

Precepts Given to Guard Decalogue.--In consequence of continual transgression, the moral law was repeated in awful grandeur from Sinai. Christ gave to Moses religious precepts which were to govern everyday life. These statutes were explicitly given to guard the ten commandments. They were not shadowy types to pass away with the death of Christ. They were to be binding upon men in every age as long as time should last. These commands were enforced by the power of the moral law, and they clearly and definitely explained that law (ST April 15, 1875). {1BC 1104.6}

In spite of 3ABN's confusing statements to the contrary, 3ABN and the church agree that some statutes are binding. Tithing, unclean flesh among other things are statutes not commandments.

Thanks for your comments and the quotes. I myself copied and pasted those same quotes from your website when I reviewed it this past Sabbath. I understand and for the most part agree with what you are sharing in this area. I am still in the process of praying about, studying and opening up to what God has for me and what His will for me is in this area.

These are points I seriously consider regarding what has occurred with 3 ABN:

(1) Revelation clearly states several places that those who are following Jesus during the 3rd and 4th angel's message are following the commandments and have the testimony of Jesus.

(2) Jesus' birth was clearly foretold in prophecy and yet when He was born the Jewish Nation were blind to His birth, sometimes deliberately, and only a few (shepherd's, wise men, etc) had open enough hearts and clear awareness to accept His birth.

(3) There is much wrong both in the SDA church and the world, especially in terms of personal practices (sins), lack of awareness of how to "walk" the Christian life by faith, combined with ignorance (sometimes willfully) of many doctrines and issues in this area.

(4) Therefore, based on what I know of the above 3 points, I take seriously the fact that a group (3 ABN) feels called of God to lift up the 10 commandments, including the Sabbath, lift up the sanctuary, lift up righteousness by faith in Jesus, and lift up His 2nd coming and Bible prophesy.

(5) No, I may not agree with everything they say, nor with everything you or others say. I am personally accountable to God to follow what I know and to study things out myself. But, based on what I know of prophesy, I think it may be that what 3 ABN has done, may be the beginning of the 4th angel's message. I take that to heart in my own personal life and walk with God. I take that to heart in terms of where God seems to be calling myself and my husband in terms of ministry. I think that 3 ABN (the message there) should be combined with other ministries (such as what Al & Collette say), and I also think as people progress in faith and knowledge, they should consider what you are saying. There are also aspects or insights and gifts God has given me, in terms of understanding how people heal, and how to speak the language of the common sinner in a way that starts opening their heart to God about these things. I think God wants to combine all these things in a whole, as only HE can do. I am praying for and watching for that, for I understand that to be also what prophesy and EGW have stated.

You are absolutely right that all this leads eventually to the truth and only God knows how it is all going to come together but come together it will!

May we all find peace and unity in the soon coming of IAUShUO (Ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.

Shabbat Shalom,
