Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 25th day of the 6th month of God's Sacred Calendar. It is five days until the beginning of the Fall Sacred Holydays starting with the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month which is Trumpets Sabbath (Thursday, September 13 on the 2007 Gregorian calendar).

The four fall yearly Sabbaths are one week apart in the 7th month except for Atonement:

Trumpets 1st day (Thursday, September 13, 2007)
Atonement 10th day (Saturday, September 22, 2007)
Tabernacles 15th day (Thursday, September 27, 2007)
Last Day 22nd day (Thursday, October 4, 2007)

I had a wonderfully refreshing experience spending a couple of days attending presentations by Elder John Vandenburgh in Centerville, Ohio August 25-26. The best part was meeting and discussing with believers and seekers of all of God's truth. While there was nothing presented that was new to me, it is still refreshing to hear again present truth, openly and honestly discussed and presented.

You may consider it a bit odd but I watch some of the "Old Discoveries from New Manuscripts" DVD series over again every other month or so. I also like to watch the "Final Events" DVD from Amazing Facts every other week or so. Many people watch the same movies over and over again but they find it odd that someone would watch the same presentation of truth over and over again.

It is so vital to keep up my spirits by watching these encouraging presentations. Friday afternoon tends to be the best time because I don't work Friday afternoons and it is a wonderful preparation for the Sabbath. Trumpets Sabbath this coming Thursday I will probably spend most of the day watching the DVD's along with Bible study, prayer, and meditation.

I have promised that I will try to share some thoughts on the special meanings of the yearly Sabbaths as they approach. A good starting place is to review some statutes.

Leviticus 23:23-25
23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

Numbers 29:1 And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.

The Fall Holydays are a time of great excitement because one year very soon I believe they will be the time of prophetic fulfillments for the end of the reign of sin and the start of eternity living without sin and its terrible results.

Trumpets is the concept of an alarm, an awakening, a great announcement, and a warning. I am reminded of this text when considering Trumpets Sabbath.

Ezekiel 3:17-21
17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

I have often pondered this text and what my responsibility is as a watchman to give a warning. I know for sure that I am expected to be a witness. I do this by living the kind of life that God has defined for us. I also do this when I am asked questions to which I can testify my understanding of what the Bible says. God has called me to reach out to others through providing information on the internet and I am faithful to that call.

I hope you don't mind that I quote a lot from scripture. I believe that when the word of God speaks it is better than what I say.

I believe that one year very, very soon there will be a prophetic fulfillment on Trumpets which may be something similar to the description in these quotes from Ellen White.

"... there was one clear place of settled glory, whence came the voice of God like many waters, which shook the heavens and the earth. The sky opened and shut and was in commotion. The mountains shook like a reed in the wind, and cast out ragged rocks all around. The sea boiled like a pot and cast out stones upon the land. And as God spoke the day and the hour of Jesus' coming and delivered the everlasting covenant to His people, He spoke one sentence, and then paused, while the words were rolling through the earth. The Israel of God stood with their eyes fixed upward, listening to the words as they came from the mouth of Jehovah, and rolled through the earth like peals of loudest thunder. It was awfully solemn. And at the end of every sentence the saints shouted, "Glory! Alleluia!" Their countenances were lighted up with the glory of God; and they shone with the glory, as did the face of Moses when he came down from Sinai. The wicked could not look on them for the glory. And when the never-ending blessing was pronounced on those who had honored God in keeping His Sabbath holy, there was a mighty shout of victory over the beast and over his image." {EW 34.1}

"... we heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming. The living saints, 144,000 in number, knew and understood the voice, while the wicked thought it was thunder and an earthquake. When God spake the time, he poured on us the Holy Ghost, and our faces began to light up and shine with the glory of God as Moses did when he came down from Mount Sinai, (Ex. 34:30-34)." {Broadside1, April 6, 1846 par. 2}

When events like these happen, is it not reasonable to assume that they will occur on the holy days God has proclaimed? Did not the Messiah die at the exact time that a symbolic lamb was slain for thousands of years? His death was just in time for Him to rest in the tomb on the day specified by God as a yearly Sabbath which also doubled as a weekly Sabbath that year.

Is it not reasonable to suspect that those who reject or do not observe the yearly Sabbaths on which these events occur will not receive of the blessing typified by that Sabbath?

Will those who fail to observe the yearly Sabbath when God speaks be among the wicked who thought it was thunder and an earthquake?

Do you recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit when it speaks? Will you follow and obey?

I pray that we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-uh-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.

Shabbat Shalom,
