Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-uh-oo-uh) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray that this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 23th day of the 4th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the year 6012 Anno Mundi.

It is nine weeks and two days until The Fall Sabbaths begin with the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month which is Trumpets Sabbath (Sunset on Sunday, August 31 on the 2008 Gregorian calendar). It is interesting to note that Monday September 1 is Labor Day which means almost everyone will be partially and unintentionally observing the Yearly Sabbath by not working.

My conversation continues with a leader of the Shepherd's Rod in Indonesia. I again received a very long email which went at great length into a sermon on why Victor T. Houteff was the Third Elijah and why the statutes were nothing more than the Ten Commandments. I will spare you the long sermon but I will share with you my reply. I tried to be very specific and condensed to avoid clouding issues.

Victor T. Houteff was not the Third Elijah because he did not preach the Third Elijah Message of Malachi 4.

We will know the true Elijah Message when it declares what is prophecied:

Mal 4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

The "Law of Moses" is much more than the "Ten Commandments"! It is specifically described as "statutes and judgments". The "statutes" are also specifically described for us by Ellen White:

"In consequence of continual transgression, the moral law was repeated in awful grandeur from Sinai. Christ gave to Moses religious precepts which were to govern the everyday life. These statutes were explicitly given to guard the ten commandments. They were not shadowy types to pass away with the death of Christ. They were to be binding upon man in every age as long as time should last. These commands were enforced by the power of the moral law, and they clearly and definitely explained that law." {RH, May 6, 1875 par. 10} {1BC 1104.6} {ST April 15, 1875} Ellen G. White, "The Law of God", Review and Herald, May 6, 1875

This message, the restoration of ALL of God's Law, is the basis of the Fourth Angel's Message. Anyone who does not preach this truth does not have the light of God in them. Preaching or teaching anything other than ALL of God's Law, no matter how true, is in danger of being a distraction and deception of Satan. After you practice and teach all of God's Law, you will be prepared and ready to teach more from God's Word.

I will probably cease trying to reach this person because we are in fundamental disagreement and I see no point in trying to argue or preach to each other. I am also deep into an ongoing email discussion on the value of Jewish tradition. We are having a very spirited exchange. I will share part of what I said with you.

I have been studying feverishly for the last four to five years or so to catch up with the things that I was not taught and did not see of the truth that has waited in God's word "until the times of restitution of all things" (Acts 3:21). God provided me a sabbatical year by being forcibly laid off from my job and not being able to find another for almost two years. I spent this time in deep and serious Bible study of the new light on old truths.

One of the things I encountered was the realization that Messianic Jews practiced more closely the Word of God than Adventists. I was strongly attracted to these people until I realized that they were also still deeply bound in the Jewish traditions which the Messiah condemned. I spent a great deal of time studying the Bible and comparing with traditions and getting clear in my own mind that I was going to stand on the Bible and shy away from tradition.

I have since observed that there is a great distraction in studying tradition when it becomes a cloud obscuring the Word of God. I practice the wearing of the tzitzit because it is a clear command of God (Numbers 15:37-41). I have no interest in kippah, tefillin, mezuzah, or other rabbinical traditions which are not the command of God. I practice faithfully the observance of God's Holy Days as described in Leviticus 23 but pay no attention to other Jewish holidays. If your studies of the Bible show something different I would appreciate being shown my error.

I have also been made keenly aware that the tradition of the SDA church also leads to a rejection of all of God's Law as embodied in the Torah without the artificial, hypocritical, and ambiguous limitation to the Ten Commandments. I have been very careful to avoid controversy in the church and speak openly only to others who show an interest in more than the traditions of the church.

Are you studying deep into the Word of God to discern His guidance?

I pray that we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-uh-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
