Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-uh-oo-uh) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray that this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 26th day of the 7th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the year 6012 Anno Mundi. It is about seven months until the Spring Sabbaths begin with the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month which is the first Unleavened Bread Sabbath (Saturday, April 11, beginning sunset on Friday, April 10 on the 2009 Gregorian calendar). The Spring Sabbaths next year fall on the same days of the week that they did in the year that our Saviour was crucified. Wave Sheaf will be on Easter Sunday as it was in the year that our Saviour was resurrected. _____ I am going to present a little word study from the Strong's Dictionary which shows a direct relationship between the statute for the wearing of the tassels and the Third Elijah Message found in Malachi chapter 4. These references for Strong's Dictionary are as they appear in e-Sword which I am using for this study. I will begin by quoting the statute.
Numbers 15:37-41
Notice that the fringe [H6734] or tassel is described as a wing like projection. Notice also that the borders [H3671] is also described as a wing. H6734 a floral or wing like projection, that is, a fore lock of hair, a tassel: - fringe, lock. H3671 an edge or extremity; specifically (of a bird or army) a wing, (of a garment or bed clothing) a flap, (of the earth) a quarter, (of a building) a pinnacle: - + bird, border, corner, end, feather [-ed], X flying, + (one an-) other, overspreading, X quarters, skirt, X sort, uttermost part, wing ([-ed]). Now notice that the exact same word borders [H3671] is in Malachi 4 translated as wings. Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings [H3671]; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. The phrase "Sun of righteousness" is generally recognized as referring to the Saviour. It can also be demonstrated that there is a relationship here linking the Third Elijah Message to the light of the Fourth Angel's Message of Revelation 18. John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. The implication is that there is healing for us in the end of time in the tassels of the Saviour. Is there any other evidence, a second witness, linking these things? Matthew 14:36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem [G2899] of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole. The word hem [G2899] is the same tassel of the statute which is seen as a symbol of healing by the act of faith in touching it. G2899 Of uncertain derivation; a margin, that is, (specifically) a fringe or tassel: - border, hem. This is also specifically mentioned in this well known incident from the gospels. Matthew 9:20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem [G2899] of his garment: Are you ready to receive the healing of the Sun of Righteousness when He comes? I pray that we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-uh-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
