Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 24th day of the 9th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6013 Anno Mundi.

It is 15 weeks and 5 days until the Spring Sabbaths begin on the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month (Wednesday, March 31 on the 2010 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Tuesday, March 30).

This year, those who follow the Millerite Calendar determination will be one month later than my research has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates for God's Sacred Calendar. The dates on the Jewish Calendar are one day earlier in the spring and one day early in the fall.

I have finished the first draft of the fourth book "Sacred Name IAUA" in the series "Preparing for the End of Time". The results can be reviewed on the website www.SacredName.info. I am very excited about this book. It will be in print in a week or so.

I have a dear Christian brother who is on fire for the Word of God. In Sabbath School he often quotes references from the Word, which support or add to the topic of the discussion. He is new to the Adventist faith therefore his focus and discussion tends to be on the basics of truth.

I noticed a disturbing trend in his conversations, which triggered a line of thought about the Word of God. Notice, I said he quotes references. It confused me a couple of times when I heard this and I was not familiar with the chapter and verse. I asked him to quote the Word of God and not just the reference.

I can often remember the words of a verse from the Word of God but I am not always able to quote the number of the chapter and verse. I think there is a danger in separating the reference from the verse itself. A conversation on God's Truth needs to focus on the words and not just a reference. References are good for later study but they do not contribute to the current discussion when separated from the words.

Psalms 119:172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

Knowing the reference does add to speaking the words of God but we must speak the words along with the reference. Chapter and verse is not a bombshell to be dropped into a conversation without the words of the verse. It is important to look up the verse when practical. The time needs to be taken to read or quote the Word and not just a reference. Not everyone has the reference memorized to know what is being quoted.

This often occurs when discussions become fast paced and a little heated. It is important to slow down and take the time to quote or read from the Word. I am not immune to being drawn into a faster pace when a discussion becomes intense. I make an effort to remember to stay calm and measured to avoid becoming pushy.

I have also noticed a disturbing trend in fast paced discussions, where the topic tends to shift suddenly before understanding and consensus is reached on the first topic. My brain may work slower than others but I suspect I am not the only one. When there are more than two people in a discussion, one of them can easily get lost while others forge ahead. The larger the discussion group the greater this problem becomes.

Continuing on from these thoughts about the Word of God, I was also impressed with the importance of speaking the Word of God often in a discussion. Personal opinions and understandings are valuable but we must stick close to the Word. I would hope our opinions are based on the Word and we need to quote the Word often to support our understanding.

Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

I am also impressed with the need to repeat the Word of God to ourselves regularly and continually. I find memory verses to be hugely valuable in keeping my thoughts in focus. Especially verses of encouragement and direction.

Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

I will share with you just one of many verses I have lately been repeating to myself many times in recent discouragements and trial. Hardly a day goes by, especially in the night season of meditation and prayer, when I do not repeat this in my mind.

Isaiah 26:3-4 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in IAUA for ever: for in IA IAUA is everlasting strength:

Do you keep the Word of God in your heart, in your mind, and in your conversation?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
