Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 15th day of the 10th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6013 Anno Mundi.

It is exactly three months or 12 weeks and 5 days until the Spring Sabbaths begin on the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month (Wednesday, March 31 on the 2010 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Tuesday, March 30).

This year, those who follow the Millerite Calendar determination will be one month later than my research has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates for God's Sacred Calendar. The dates on the Jewish Calendar are one day earlier in the spring and one day early in the fall.

_____

I assume you know I am not going to be wishing you a "Happy New Year". A few times when I have been greeted this way lately, I have commented "... the Gregorian New Year ..." One lady gave me a funny look and said "Whatever." Last night I greeted everyone with a "Happy Catholic New Year."

God's New Year begins in about three months. The worldly tradition of reflecting on past and future at the New Year is different on God's Calendar. This reflection is properly observed on the Day of Atonement.

_____

I heard the question posed in the last newsletter repeated over and over in my own mind and in the comments of others. "What is Truth?" The most direct answer comes from the lips of our Messiah.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Many times I have heard discussions of opinions about truth without a single reference to the Bible. Many times people listen to disagreements on truth in dismay to understand what is right. They rarely go to this simple counsel.

II Timothy 2:14-16
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

It is not enough to simply read the Bible. Reading the Bible is a good start and the foundation of keeping the word in our heart.

Psalms 119:10-12
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.

We must obey what we know before we can grow. The Holy Spirit will not reveal more truth to those who do not follow what has already been revealed and they already know. The Bible says:

Matthew 13:12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Remember, obedience does not save us. Obedience sanctifies us to prepare for a place in His kingdom of Love.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Study and obedience is our work of salvation leading to continuing and increasing sanctification. Please, open your heart and pray for the work of the Holy Spirit. We must study deeply into His Word, guided by the Holy Spirit.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

Do not be like the five foolish virgins who failed to fill their spiritual lamps with spiritual oil which comes by the Holy Spirit through the study of the Word. God pleads with us to repent for we do not need to die.

Ezekiel 18:30-32
30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

His plea with us is repeated later.

Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Do you study the Bible faithfully and deeply to be grounded in "Truth" by obedience, with a prayer for the guidance of the Holy Spirit?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
