Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly sabbath. I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord.

I forgot to mention last week "Happy New Year". According to my understanding of the calculations of the sacred calendar, Nissan 1 was March 12. The explanation for this can be found at:

http://www.IAUA.name/Calendar.html

May we meet this year in the New Jerusalem!

Revisiting again the newsletter discussing traditions I was directed to note the contrast between the saying:

"God helps those who help themselves."

and the quote from Ellen White:

"To every one who is tempted to indulge appetite I would say, Yield not to temptation, but confine yourself to the use of wholesome foods. You can train yourselves to enjoy a healthful diet. The Lord helps those who seek to help themselves; but when men will not take special pains to follow out the mind and will of God, how can he work with them? Let us act our part, working out our salvation with fear and trembling-- with fear and trembling lest we make mistakes in the treatment of our bodies, which, before God, we are under obligation to keep in the most healthful condition possible. {GCB, May 30, 1909 par. 14}"

The importance of the word "seek" was highlighted. There are other quotes from Ellen to be considered.

"At these words hope revived. Passengers and crew roused from their apathy, and put forth all possible exertion to save their lives. There was much yet to be done. Every effort within their power must be put forth to avert destruction; for God helps those only who help themselves. {LP 267.1}"

"We had laid the case of the building of the church before the people, and given them the advice, "Let us arise and build"-- let all be united to do their very utmost, offering their supplications to God for wisdom, and exerting themselves in faith to make changes in the situation, and endeavoring to the utmost of their ability to press against difficulties and discouragements, while listening to the voice of their Leader, "Go forward." For the Lord always helps those who help themselves. The Lord is acquainted with all the circumstances, and will work for those who do their very best. If they can raise a certain amount themselves, they can hire all the rest that is necessary from the bank, at a low rate and on long time. This we think they will succeed in doing. {RH, September 27, 1887 par. 11}"

Moving on...

On Friday night last week Doug Bachelor again repeated the error of lumping the statutes of God with the sacrifices and oblations under the heading ceremonial law and dismissed it all as nailed to the cross.

It was very disappointing to hear him quote even Malachi 4:4 in an hour of verifying that God does not change and His law was not changed.

Malachi 4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

Then he turns around and says that "Moses law", the "ceremonial law", was nailed to the cross. The words of the Messiah ring in my ears.

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

I have appreciated the Prophecy Code seminars for the reinforcement and reminders of the prophetic truth. I have been greatly comforted by the theme song.

Jesus Will Come On Time

Jesus will come on time.
Yes! He will come on time!
Doubters may talk and scoffers mock,
babbling without rhyme or reason.
His promises are true!
He will remember you!
The clock of prophecy will chime,
up Jacob's ladder we will climb
in brilliant glory so sublime!
Our God will come on time,
Yes! Jesus will come on time!

I hope Doug doesn't mind but you can play the music here:

Doug speaks often of the nearness of the Second Coming. This is a great encouragement to me. It is interesting how often and fervently he states that he is not "setting dates". I understand his concern because of the backlash I have received for even suggesting possible dates. I see no problem with discussing dates but I am not setting a date. I do not know when the Messiah will come but I do know it is very soon.

It is fascinating to observe the number of evangelists who are preaching so fervently about the nearness of the Second Coming. I have heard many sermons recently in the Adventist church and other churches. The common theme is that He is coming as a thief.

An interesting thought crosses my mind. What if many in the church are aware of His coming, but are not actually aware of the key issue? The weekly Sabbath truth is definately the mark of the beast for the final test of the world. What if the truth of the statutes is the final test for the people who already accept the Sabbath?

May we all find peace in the soon coming of Yahushua (Ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.

Shabbat Shalom
