That is wonderful news about you and your wife being baptized, and also that you are growing spiritually. Nothing else is important is it? but to grow in the Lord each and every moment.

I was visiting with a friend who has plenty of everything, especially money, and she is a christian too, but I was telling her that the Lord has given me everything that I need, a home, bills paid, plenty of food and spiritual books, plus I get 3ABN also, all that is left is to be completely filled with His Holy Spirit so that I might be all that He wants me to be.

The material things that I have are not luxuries at all, a very simple, old , small house that needs repair, but it is good enough and I am grateful to have it. Actually, I don't want to fix it up, I don't want to spend money on it cause I do believe that He is coming soon, long before this house will fall down around me.

I am sure that this will be taken away as we get closer to the end of time, what with all the disasters, I know that they will be coming our way in time. My prayer is to be able to stand firm with Him when that does happen. And one never knows, if they are to be laid to rest or to be translated, but which ever, Our hope to be ready either way.

Thank you for your encouraging words. It is so good to hear from you. You are so right that nothing else is important but to grow in the Lord each and every moment. My current trials are only teaching me to rely more completely on God. It is a hard and painful lesson.

The Lord has provided me with many blessing in the past and even now I have never suffered for lack of anything I needed. In the past I have gone through similar trials and it is true that looking back I never suffered for lack of anything I needed. My stress and concern is only for worrying about the future. My struggle is to learn to follow the words of the Saviour to take no thought for tomorrow.

I am learning that whenever I am tempted to despair or worry I need to immediately send up a prayer. In fact, I will make a pact with the devil! Everytime he tempts me it will immediately remind me to pray! Maybe it will be better to say I will make a pact with God and a warning to the devil. I will also quote a promise from the Bible whenever I am tempted.

I also often think, as you suggested, that things will soon get worse with the impending coming of the Saviour. The conditions which prophecy warns us about are already beginning. It provides me some encouragement to realize that these small trials I face now are a preparation for the greater, final trials soon to come.
