Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly sabbath. I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord.

My wife and I were baptized June 25. It was a wonderful experience. We were both overwhelmed with deep emotional feelings. This was a time of great bonding for us. It was followed on June 26 by our thirteen year wedding anniversary. Both of these bonds are now closely associated. We have often expressed the thought to each other that our relationship is not just for life... it is for eternity.

I want to continue a topic in the last few newsletters of commitment. Membership in the organized church body is a sign of commitment to God. God is committed to His people and has provided an organization to bind His people together. We are to work together, support each other, and love each other.

Is the church perfect? Of course not! Are you perfect? God loves you and He loves His church.

Is a person lost who is not a member of the church? Of course not!

John 10
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

A person who learns of the truth and the church which is the most faithful to practice it will join with that church.

Hebrews 10
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

A person who turns away from the church most closely following the truth is in danger. I acknowledge and confess that I once did that and very nearly lost myself.

Matthew 5
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

There is a danger in associating only with those who agree with you and avoiding those whose understanding is different. None of us is so perfect that we do not have room to grow and learn. Listen carefully to the eloquent plea of Paul.

Ephesians 4
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Take special note: "forbearing one another in love".

II Thessalonians 1
3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

Take special note: "the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth".

Be sure that Satan will test your commitment. I have been and continue to go through many trials to shake my trust in God. Paul offers some words of consolation.

II Thessalonians 1
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

I know, and constantly remind myself, that whatever difficulties I face on this earth will all be worth it. All will be forgotten the minute I see His face.

Romans 8
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

May we all find peace and unity in the soon coming of IAUShUO (Ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.

Shabbat Shalom
