Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. I missed my goal of sending out this newsletter on Friday. Let me explain why.

A few weeks ago there was a posting on the 3ABN website about a job opportunity for a Network Administrator. I sent in a resume and called to inquire. I had a phone interview where they expressed an interest in having me come out to interview. I was scheduled for July 12 after the General Conference. I was surprised to discover that I was expected to come out at my own expense. They would provide accomodations for my stay.

I drove the 912 miles from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to Thompsonville, Illinois in 14 hours on Monday July 11.

It turns out that it wasn't exactly an interview. I am expected to work as a volunteer for up to 30 days before they will decide if they will offer me a job. I was surprised that they would spring this on me without any notice whatsoever about what they expected. It was fortuitous that I had packed hoping to be hired and expecting to stay.

This experience is stretching my struggles with uncertainty to all new heights or depths depending on how you look at it. My wife is absolutely frantic dealing with the uncertainty of our future. We will be homeless as of August 1. Cindy is going to move in with her son and I am here in southern Illinois. We have absolutely no idea what the future holds for us.

We have decided that we will just have to trust in God's plan for our lives. We know that he loves us and He has promised to provide for us. God is putting us through these struggles and trials so that we will grow in faith and learn to trust Him. It is one thing to say you trust God when you have a job, a home, and the companionship of your spouse. How strong is your trust when you have none of these things?

May we all find peace and unity in the soon coming of IAUShUO (Ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
