Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 4th day of the 6th month of God's Sacred Calendar. It is three weeks and five days until the beginning of the Fall Sacred Holydays starting with the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month which is Trumpets Sabbath (Thursday, September 13 on the 2007 Gregorian calendar).

In prayer meeting this week they were discussing the true church and prophecy. The statement was made from the front that Revelation chapter 17 is one which those who don't accept the truth about the Papal power don't talk about. The comment was made from the audience that when error confronts the truth it stops short.

I was pondering that comment and its implications as I was driving home that night. I thought of how often it is true that the subject of the yearly Sabbaths (the "feasts") and the statutes is hardly ever addressed from the pulpit, in Sabbath school, or in Bible studies. It definitely does look like error avoids confronting the truth.

The next morning the devotional read at work was on the subject of how important it is to attend church on Sabbath. When the time came for comments, I could barely keep my mouth shut. There were numerous reasons given about the importance of attending church on Sabbath and a few scriptures were quoted which showed that it was a good idea. The most important scripture that I know about shows that attending church on Sabbath is more than a good idea. It is a direct, explicit command from God.

Leviticus 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

You can immediately see why people would not want to quote this verse. The rest of Leviticus 23 makes it all too clear that there are also yearly Sabbaths described in the same words with the same requirements. I doubt that you have ever heard anything from Leviticus 23 mentioned from the pulpit. You have probably hardly ever heard anything quoted from Leviticus at all. That would be getting dangerously close to present truth.

Those who nail the "Law of Moses" to the cross are obviously reluctant to quote from books like Leviticus and Deuteronomy unless it is a nice safe neutral verse. It is a bit of a surprise that they often quote from Malachi chapter 4.

While they often skip the fourth verse, it is hard to avoid the first three verses about the time of the end in which we live. Good proof passages for the utter destruction of the wicked. It also contains an important mention of the reward of the wicked.

Malachi 4:1-3
1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

It is also hard to avoid the last two verses which promise a revival at the end of time. Sometimes they even talk about the reformation that is expected.

Malachi 4:5-6
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

One day they will have to face the truth of the fourth verse which is so strategically linked to the other verses. It is interesting that this verse begins with the exact same word "Remember" with which the fourth commandment begins.

Malachi 4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

Are you able to face every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God without discomfort, awkwardness, reluctance, or excuses?

I pray that we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-uh-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.

Shabbat Shalom,
