Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-uh-oo-uh) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray that this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 24th day of the 3rd month of God's Sacred Calendar in the year 6012 Anno Mundi. It is thirteen weeks and two days until The Fall Sabbaths begin with the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month which is Trumpets Sabbath (Sunset on Sunday, August 31 on the 2008 Gregorian calendar). It is interesting to note that Monday September 1 is Labor Day which means almost everyone will be partially and unintentionally observing the Yearly Sabbath by not working. The phrase "Present Truth" is an established part of the SDA vocabulary. This phrase appears only once in the Bible II Peter 1:12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. A quick search of the EGW CD-ROM reveals over 2000 occurences of the phrase "Present Truth". As I was reading over some of these I was struck by this one. "God will move upon men in humble positions to declare the message of present truth. Many such will be seen hastening hither and thither, constrained by the Spirit of God to give the light to those in darkness. The truth is as a fire in their bones, filling them with a burning desire to enlighten those who sit in darkness. Many, even among the uneducated, will proclaim the word of the Lord. Children will be impelled by the Holy Spirit to go forth to declare the message of heaven. The Spirit will be poured out upon those who yield to His promptings. Casting off man's binding rules and cautious movements, they will join the army of the Lord." {7T 26.4} I received some interesting email with attachments proclaiming the teachings of the Shepherd's Rod. This is one of many groups that proclaim that they are presenting "Present Truth". Victor T. Houteff began this splinter group after trying to interest the leaders in the church of his interpretations of prophecy. Victor T. Houteff did not know the truth.
He did not preach the Elijah message:
Mal 4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded
unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
Elijah is still to come and he will preach the Elijah message.
Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming
of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

I have read your materials and I have previously studied very
carefully the writings of Victor T. Houteff looking for new light. I
found none. I did not find additional truth. I found a repeat of old
prophetic understanding with nothing additional added.
I did find very clearly in the Bible what "New Light" is about. It is
about God's Law as described in the prophecy of Malachi 4.
Do not write to me any more unless you are willing to address what the
Bible says in Malachi 4!
Malachi 4 is the "Present Truth" to this generation. Victor T. Houteff
never addressed the truth of Malachi 4. If you are not willing to
consider very carefully the prophecy of Malachi 4 and remember the
"Law of Moses" as it specifies then you are being deceived by Satan
with non-truth.
Pray for the guidance and outpouring of the Holy Spirit my brother as I have prayed and still pray, especially for you.

I pray that we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-uh-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
