Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-uh-oo-uh) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray that this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 20nd day of the 6th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the year 6012 Anno Mundi. It is one week and two days until The Fall Sabbaths begin with the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month which is Trumpets Sabbath (Sunset on Sunday, August 31 on the 2008 Gregorian calendar). It is interesting to note that Monday September 1 is Labor Day which means almost everyone (in the US) will be partially and unintentionally observing Trumpets Sabbath by not working. It is also interesting to note that the days of the seventh month match the days of September this year. I assume you are aware that "Septe" is Latin for seventh. The earliest Roman calendars actually used the same months of the year, starting in spring, as God's Sacred Calendar. Therefore, September 10 is Atonement Sabbath, September 15 is Tabernacles Sabbath, and September 22 is Last Day Sabbath. A nice "coincidence" that probably happens every thirty years or so. This "coincidence" only happens for those who accept the record of Jewish history and the tradition faithfully preserved by the Catholic Church that Passover is the first full moon on or after the equinox. Isn't it interesting that they preserved this even though they corrupted so many other things. The Catholic Church also preserved the weekly cycle even though they changed which day they reverence. There is never an intelligent argument about which day of the week is the Sabbath when you accept that it is the seventh day and not the first. Isn't amazing how God arranged that the Church of the Great Apostasy nevertheless preserved these things faithfully. Ironic isn't it? _____ I have finished my latest publishing project. This book is called "God's Sacred Calendar 2008-2013" and contains 70 pages with four years worth of monthly and yearly calendars patterned after God's design. The book is spiral bound so it can be hung on the wall with a paper clip like any calendar. It doesn't have pictures but I don't think that is the point. _____ There have been many email discussions lately noting the many events occurring in the world with end time implications. There are indeed a great many things going on. There is sometimes a sense of fear and panic. There are many Bible verses that tell us not to fear. II Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. When we are following God in all truth we can develop a confidence that He is with us, He will protect us, and He will see us through the trials. This verse has been memorized and repeated often to provide me strength and courage. Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. I have observed that there is a danger in getting too involved in chasing down and dwelling on the latest developments in the political/religious world. It is good to be aware of these things but we need to preserve our energy and excitement for following God's leading in our lives to do His will and spread His word. Is your trust in God strong enough to sustain you in peace through the time of trouble? I pray that we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-uh-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
