Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-uh-oo-uh) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray that this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 19th day of the 7th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the year 6012 Anno Mundi.

It is two days until the evening of the 22nd day of the 7th month which is Last Day Sabbath (September 22, beginning sunset on Sunday, September 21 on the 2008 Gregorian calendar).

There has been a lot of talk lately about end time events as we watch the deteriorating world situation. It seems to me many are focusing too much on the current financial, political, and social events leading to the end of time. I hear people talking in panic about financial and physical preparations for coming events. I believe there is a dangerous distraction to becoming overly engrossed by current events. We may forget what they are really telling us.

Revelation 14:6-7
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

We may forget that this is a time to trust more than ever in God. The true preparations we need to concentrate on are the spiritual preparations of our heart and mind so that we can be like the wise virgins of Matthew 25. I believe many are overlooking some of the spiritual events and aspects of the end of time.

The book of Joel is fascinating reading for it speaks mightily of events at the end of time. There is evidence here as in other places that there are two phases to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The first phase is the rain of doctrine.

Deuteronomy 32:2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

The former rain on the apostles before and at Pentecost is called a moderate rain. The latter rain adds to the former rain. (The word month is added and doesn't belong.)

Joel 2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

After the growth from the rain of doctrine on the heart comes the outpouring of the Spirit in power.

Joel 2:28
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Then there will be many visible signs and manifestations even in the heavens. A preliminary sign of these things has happened but there will be much more.

Joel 2:30-31
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

What is the doctrine that we are to expect? God has told us explicitly what is important at the end of time and He has told us how it will come and what will be the results.

Mal 4:4-6
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

How many are really listening to this message direct from God in His own words. The Elijah message in the fifth verse is mentioned many times in the church but always separated from the content of the message in the fourth verse. The sixth verse is often diluted to a message about families. Let me paraphrase to clarify the meaning.

Mal 4:6 (paraphrased) He shall restore the heart of the patriarch fathers of Israel to the children of Israel, and the heart of the children of Israel shall be turned to their patriarch fathers, for I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Who then are these children of Israel? Notice that they are sealed by the Third Elijah Message before the time of trouble begins.

Revelation 7:1-4
1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Then comes the message of the Fourth Angel when the power of the Holy Spirit covers the earth and the light of the restoration of all of God's doctrine shines forth.

Revelation 18:1
1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

Let me remind you that judgment begins with the church. When final events are clearly seen in the world it is too late for those who were already to be prepared.

Ezekiel 9:6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.

I Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
