Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-uh-oo-uh) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 5th day of the 11th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the year 6012 Anno Mundi.

It is about three months until the Spring Sabbaths begin with the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month which is the first Unleavened Bread Sabbath (Saturday, April 11 on the 2009 Gregorian calendar, beginning sunset on Friday, April 10).

_____

I am planning to be in Terra Bella, California this spring to celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread with fellow believers. I also plan to return in the fall for the Feast of Tabernacles, if God is willing. I have been observing God's Holy Days by myself for four years now. It is time to seek the highest form of observance in a holy convocation with others observing all of God's Law as best as they understand it.

I have been busy working on the new book "God's Sacred Calendar". I have finished the overall outline and I am half done with the rough draft. The unfolding results are kept up to date on the website www.SacredCalendar.info. I am finishing about a chapter a week. I will then do a second pass reviewing and rewriting the material. Then I have to format it into a book and publish it. I am planning to have the book finished by spring, as God guides. I am very excited by all the fascinating material God has put in the path of my studies to include in this Bible study guide.

These are interesting times in which we live. It is as if you can see the events of the End of Time unfolding before your eyes. There is a certain amount of hysteria growing as individuals and groups all over the world have been compiling lists of events from public knowledge that show the end.

Some have also been spreading questionable rumours and conspiracy theories. I know they are sincere and concerned as we all are about events occurring in this world and more expected to come. I consider it dangerous to get too distracted watching the things going on in this world and especially to be overly concerned about rumours.

Prophetic interpretation of current events for an end time application is a hot bed of increasingly wild speculation.

God is in control. I believe we must trust in God, keep our eyes fixed on Him, and prepare ourselves by prayer and study for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the end of time, and to witness to others. Our witness needs to be of "Present Truth" about God's Law. Prophecy is indeed one of God's witnesses and must never be ignored but the first and most important witness is to God's Truth and Law. I find important guidance in these words of the Saviour.

Matthew 23:23 ... ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Prophecy is important but the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith must come first. There are people who specialize in writing fiery newsletter emails of prophetic interpretation based partly on innuendo and rumours. Others forward these emails without careful evaluation of the message. I find it important to be aware of the background of the person who wrote the newsletter.

One newsletter writer is David J. Meyer who is the leader of an independent church. He was raised as a self-described psychic astrologer. He was "converted" to Christianity in a Pentecostal Church and was "baptized" with the Holy Spirit which means "speaking in tongues". Most recognize speaking in tongues as being a form of demon possession. He does not see and follow the truth of the Fourth Commandment much less any of the other Bible truths. His messages are loaded with bigotry, hints of racism, and hysteria inducing embellishments of the truth.

Do you think this is a person worthy of being used as a source of information and forwarded to other believers in all of God's truth?

Please understand what I am saying is based on a spirit of love and concern for my fellow believers. My goal is a spirit of sharing ideas and not criticism. The Spirit of the Lord has been deeply impressing me for quite some time with concern as I read many emails of increasing hysteria about the things happening on earth.

Luke 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

My focus and recommendation is the messages that God has for the earth and not repeating "interpretations" even though they are based on truth. People like David Meyer make an "interpretation" of facts and take bits of truth adding innuendo and hysteria to inflame the passions of the children of the earth. I believe it is dangerous to be bringing the focus of our attention to messages from the children of the earth. These people are not spreading the message of God. Satan will quote scripture. Error mixed with truth results in error.

I Corinthians 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

Galatians 5:8-9 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Yes! It is true! People need to be awakened. The children of God will seek to turn the focus to God and not the earth. The true message of awakening is found in the Three Angels' Message.

Revelation 14:6-7
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

We are called to remember the Law of Moses. There are many deceptions, distractions, and confusion. There are many who are in danger of being attracted to Judaism and Messianism because they obey the Law of Moses. We need to be careful to realize they are also tainted with the errors of tradition.

Mal 4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

Some are in danger of being caught up with subtle ideas that lead to returning to sacrificial practices. This is one of the leading reasons why Adventists reject the Third Elijah Message. Those who spread the truth of God's Sacred Calendar are often associated with those who believe in the restoration of the sacrificial system. We know that sacrifices have ceased.

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

On the other hand, it is important to be careful to avoid confusing the proper slaughter of an animal for consumption according to the Law of Moses with the ritual of sacrifice. For example, the traditional consumption of a properly slaughtered lamb at Passover comes dangerously close to looking like a sacrifice but it is not the same thing. God knows the heart.

I would be uncomfortable with such a practice of trying to follow the ancient ritual of Passover too closely. I would not participate in an event that includes the roasting of a lamb. The biggest reason being I choose not to eat meat or be around where it is served. My personal choice is to avoid Jewish tradition while continuing to follow the Law of Moses.

For a similar reason I do not use terms from the Jewish language in normal discussion. I use Hebrew only in a study of the words of the Bible. This principle does not apply to names which though they may be associated with a language are personal identifiers which we cannot arbitrarily modify.

Are you carefully studying the Bible for truth or do you become caught up with the hysteria of whatever seductive ideas you may hear?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-uh-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
