Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-uh-oo-uh) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 19th day of the 11th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6012 Anno Mundi.

It is 12 weeks until the Spring Sabbaths begin with the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month which is the first Unleavened Bread Sabbath (Saturday, April 11 on the 2009 Gregorian calendar, beginning sunset on Friday, April 10). In the coming year the Millerite Calendar agrees with my understanding of the Calendar. The Jewish Calendar is two days earlier in the spring and one day in the fall.

You will be happy to know my presentation last Sabbath about the book I published went well. The devil did his best to stop the meeting. The daughter of the group facilitator who invited me to speak was overcome Friday with severe detached retinas in both eyes and lost part of her sight. She was immediately taken to St. Louis for surgery Friday night. She is now recovering well.

Her father tried to cancel the meeting but somehow ("Smile" We know how and why those things happen don't we?) not everybody received notice including me. I was at the meeting place waiting for people to show up when one of the people dropped by to let me know the meeting was cancelled. He apologized I had not received notice and explained what had happened. While we were talking another person showed up who didn't get the message. Cindy and I sat there a minute discussing the situation and another person showed up. So, they decided to have the meeting.

There were four people, six counting Cindy and me. I experienced great freedom in being able to speak without stumbling and with only the normal amount of interaction and little off-topic disruption. The one person who was most likely to try to monopolize the conversation was not present. Another who sometimes can be inclined to seek the center of attention was also not there. A person was there who I did not know was part of the group and had not seen the book. I gave him a copy and he was quite interested.

Another one of the facilitators made sure I was going to be coming back and continuing with more discussion about the topics of the book. As with the previous facilitator there was a clear assumption this was to be an ongoing thing.

Sabbath afternoon I received a call from one of the people at the meeting who was discussing the Sabbath School we had with a person at the church. He was eager to tell me this person now wants a copy of the book. This is both exciting and disturbing because the person is well known and respected in this area as a Bible teacher and presenter. I am eager for people to take an interest in studying the subjects presented in the book but the last thing I want is to risk causing debate and contention.

Monday morning the finance director called me into his office. He said he heard I had written a book and he wanted a copy. Again I was excited but concerned because he is also a pastor who previously worked at churches in Wisconsin. My expectation is pastors are far too deeply indoctrinated with the teachings of the church leaders to ever accept anything in the Bible different from what the church leaders say. I was pleasantly surprised to discover he had previously been unsettled about the subject and we had a very good discussion.

I quoted him Malachi chapter 4 and especially emphasized verse 4.

Malachi 4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

I discussed with him the apostasy of the church teaching which says the "Law of Moses" was nailed to the cross. He expressed a disbelief that this was a widespread teaching. I pointed out to him 3ABN sent out over 5 million copies of a book that said exactly those words. He was surprised the book said this.

We discussed that many church teachings uphold parts of the "Law of Moses". Tithing, unclean flesh, and homosexuality, for example, are not explicitly described in the Ten Commandments but they are certainly part of the "Law of Moses".

I am surprised to find there are many who do not realize the book teaches this apostasy. Here are some quotes from the book to validate my statement. I am quoting the entire paragraph to provide some context.

Page 23: I'm delighted the Bible declares the "handwriting of ordinances" was nailed to the cross. We will discuss this in depth. I hope Scripture will prove to you this verse refers to the Law of Moses.

Page 32: It's critical to determine the exact nature of this "handwriting of ordinances" - this written code with all of its regulations and requirements - that was nailed to the cross. Was it the Ten Commandments of God? Or was it really the Book of the Law, written by Moses?

Page 36: If we throw out the Old Testament, we can't know that Moses wote the Book of the Law (the "Law of Moses"), or that he recorded approximately 640 separate ordinances in his own handwriting. Without this understanding, how could we begin to appreciate that the "handwriting of ordinances" nailed to the cross was the Law of Moses? How could we learn that God's moral law - the Ten Commandments - is eternal and the only definition of sin in the Bible?

There have been many programs aired on 3ABN which teach this apostasy. It was interesting to hear a program aired just a few days ago from 2004 which strongly upholds the "Law of Moses". I have copied the program from the 3ABN reference archives and made it available from my website.

This program is from the Prophets and Prophecy Seminar given in 2004 at Fresno, CA by Stephen Bohr called Moses And The Prophets. I don't think everything in the program is directly on target but it is very good. It is interesting that you don't hear such direct preaching about the "Law of Moses" anymore. I wonder why? ("Smile")

Very exciting things are starting to develop but I feel a certain amount of concern about the danger of a backlash. I do not wish to cause contention or division. Well, as I often say... NMPIGH... Not My Problem, In God's Hands.

Are you carefully studying deep into the Bible for truth to recognize apostasy when it is presented?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-uh-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
