Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-uh-oo-uh) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 26th day of the 11th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6012 Anno Mundi. It is 11 weeks until the Spring Sabbaths begin with the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month which is the first Unleavened Bread Sabbath (Saturday, April 11 on the 2009 Gregorian calendar, beginning sunset on Friday, April 10). In the coming year the Millerite Calendar agrees with my understanding of the Calendar. The Jewish Calendar is two days earlier in the spring and one day in the fall. _____ There were only two sincere souls who attended the alternate Sabbath School this week. Satan is hard at work with sickness and other situations to keep people from seeking the truth. There was still a strong desire to learn and understand more of God's truth. Pray for this little group to grow in knowledge and be joined by others who will seek truth. Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. _____ Last week I directly addressed the apostasy in the church which teaches the Law of Moses was nailed to the cross. I specifically quoted from the book "Ten Commandments Twice Removed" to illustrate the blatant lie being spread in over 5 million books sent around the world. There is a good work being done in drawing attention to the Fourth Commandment. Many are being lead to truth which is a good thing. God continues to work in and through His imperfect children. God is patient and understanding with us. Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: The seeds of error being spread will have a requital. I believe there will be a major backlash on the church for this teaching. There will be a requital which is a payment for the deeds which have been done. Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. The church is proud of the fact the Catholic Church points to Adventists as the only group following the Bible Sabbath, when the Catholic Church criticizes Protestants. The church will be quite surprised when the other shoe drops. Seventh-day Adventists upholding the weekly Sabbath love to quote from Bishop T. Enright. They do not accurately quote the following letter from T. Enright, C.S.S.R., Bishop of St. Alphonsus Church, St. Louis, Missouri, June, 1905. _____ "Dear Friend, I have offered and still offer $1000 to any one who can prove to me from the Bible alone that I am bound, under grievous sin to keep Sunday holy. It was the Catholic Church which made the law obliging us to keep Sunday holy. The church made this law long after the Bible was written. Hence said law is not in the Bible. Christ, our Lord empowered his church to make laws binding in conscience. He said to his apostles and their lawful sucessors in the priesthood "Whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be binding in heaven." Mth. 16:19. Mth. 18:17. Luke 16:19. The Cath. Church abolished not only the Sabbath, but all the other Jewish festivals. Pray and study. I shall be always glad to help you as long as you honestly seek the truth. Respectfully, T. Enright CSSR." _____ What is usually quoted is “The Catholic Church abolished the Sabbath". If this letter is fully quoted, Bishop Enright stated, “The Catholic Church abolished not only the Sabbath, but all the other Jewish festivals.” What an amazing statement! A copy of this letter can be viewed at: The church will soon face a realization. The weekly Sabbath and the yearly Sabbaths are inextricably joined together. When the church is confronted with this glaring contradiction to their teaching and practice, there will be three choices. 1. They can continue to keep their heads in the sand and ignore the situation. This will become increasingly difficult in the time of trouble as persecution increases. 2. They can correct the hypocrisy and contradiction and embrace all of God's Law. This will require them to admit they have been wrong. I am afraid pride will keep many from admitting they were ever wrong. 3. They can submit to the pressure and recant truth and decide they were wrong about the Sabbath. Many former Sabbathkeepers have already done this. Those who have not studied truth for themselves will easily become confused and join with the Catholic Church. In the coming time of trouble the church as an organization will fall. The true church of those who believe and follow all of God's truth will go on. Time is short and the coming persecution will be very intense. There will probably never be a new organization created. Those who follow God will stand as individuals and little companies. They do not depend on others for their understanding of truth. They trust in God and not the failing arm of man. Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. Are you carefully studying the Bible for truth to stand in the time of trouble or do you trust in the arm of man? I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-uh-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
