Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Home / Archives

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-uh-oo-uh) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of the Lord. This is the 25th day of the 3rd month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6013 Anno Mundi.

It is about three months until the Fall Sabbaths begin with Trumpets Sabbath on the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month (Sunday, September 20 on the 2009 Gregorian calendar, beginning sunset on Saturday, September 19).

This year, those who follow the Millerite Calendar determination agree with my understanding of the Gregorian Calendar dates for God's Sacred Calendar. The dates on the apostate Jewish Calendar are two days earlier in the spring and one day early in the fall.

_____

I occasionally participate in an interesting online social gathering called "Yahoo! Answers". I read some of the questions and answers that people have written in the "Religion & Spirituality" section. This is a recent question I asked.

_____

Question: Who knows the Modern Jewish Calendar date of Passover is wrong? I am interested in comments from different people about what they know about this subject.

_____

The public responses and interaction can be read at Yahoo! Answers (free registration is required):

After some initial private interaction about my question, which was lost, I received the following interesting and thought provoking response.

_____

Message: Hi, thanks for your reply. While I consider myself an honest Jew, I do not acknowledge any error in the calendar because I do not believe haShem would ever allow it. He strictly commanded us to obey certain laws that are based specifically on times and days, and to say that we all have the wrong calender is tantamount to accusing haShem of allowing us all to be deceived so that we are left with no choice but to violate His commands. HaShem said in haTanakh, "I do nothing without first reveiling it to My servants the prophets."

However, I am sincerely curious about what you have to say about the calendar. Even many Christians have been debating what day Jesus of Nazareth was actually crucified and resurrected based on the time of Passover, so I'm not remotely surprised at a calendar confusion among Jews as well.

You can contact me at my email address at ***.

I responded:

You appear to be an honest person. You will stick by what you know until it is disproved. But, you are open to hearing more. This is wise because we must never become comfortable in our knowledge.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

We must be continuously studying to grow and understand more. It will take time for me to compose a thoughtful response to your inquiry. Meanwhile, I hope you don't mind that I have added you to my list of friends to which I email a sometimes weekly newsletter.

I later continued:

I have studied the Bible and the issue of God's Sacred Calendar extensively ever since I discovered what it was. My religious upbringing did not acknowledge or admit any such thing. I was a very active student of the Bible but I had read what people told me to read instead of really digging deeply into ALL the Bible. I was shocked when someone pointed out to me the vast extent of God's guidance through His Law beyond the Ten Commandments. I immediately tore into my Bible with a new perspective and this time I left no stone unturned. I don't understand it all but I am not skipping over anything.

I had always felt very kindly toward my Jewish brothers but did not truly understand them. I had the impression they were following all kinds of strange rules which weren't actually in the Bible. As a Sabbath-keeper I had always been told and thought of myself as a fringe spiritual relative of a Jew. God knew I wanted to follow Him all the way. When God brought someone into my life and showed me there was more, the Holy Spirit immediately impressed me with the truth and I eagerly embraced it.

If you are interested in details of what I have studied and now understand, I have several websites. The one that may interest you the most is: www.SacredCalendar.info.

In this email I will answer directly the issues you have raised.

First let me clarify something, I willingly and eagerly acknowledge the Jewish Calculated Rabbinical Calendar (CRC) as one of the closest major attempts to follow God's Sacred Calendar but it has known and intentional errors. God allows us freedom of choice to do what he asks us to do. The Tanakh clearly records over and over the failure of His Children to faithfully do what He asks. When failure to do exactly what He specifies continues long enough, it becomes tradition, which is followed instead of the Law of God. He has told us what to do already so we are deceived when we do not read, study, understand, and follow what He says. The error is ours, not His.

I believe when Elijah comes to restore all things, this error will also be corrected for those who will acknowledge God's guidance. The prophets were often ignored when God sent them to provide guidance.

One of the flaws in Modern Jewish observance is to put faith in following the word of man rather than strict observance of what the Bible (Torah) actually says.

In quick summary, the subtle error of the CRC is depending on a formula, instead of astronomical observation. If the formula was completely accurate, it would be fine. It is actually very close and can be used for short periods of time but must be kept correctly synchronized with observation. It is off by only a bit each a year but after over a thousand years it is now off by days.

Unfortunately, that is not the only error. There is a deliberate error in the CRC. Jewish tradition specifies that the days of the year are moved based on postponement rules. These are not the Law of God in the Torah. Man cannot change God's Law.

The truth is there for us to follow when we earnestly and sincerely seek him with all our hearts. He is patiently waiting. He understands our limitations. He knows our heart and forgives our failures when they are out of weakness and not a deliberate choice to ignore or disobey. God does not condemn us when we faithfully follow Him to the best of our ability. He will provide additional guidance to greater understanding when we continue to follow Him.

Are you honestly seeking for truth in your study of the Bible or do you only see what you are looking for and want to see?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-uh-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
