Dear Brothers and Sisters in
IAUA
(ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 20th day of the 4th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6014 Anno Mundi. The yearly Fall Sabbaths begin in 9 weeks and 6 days starting with Trumpets Sabbath the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month (Thursday, September 29th on the 2011 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Wednesday, September 28th). An amazing thing occurs in the Gregorian Calendar years of both 2011 and 2012. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar and the Jewish Calendar agree with what my research, and many others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar! _____ God has impressed on my mind important thoughts about changes this past couple of weeks in my meditations. There are things we limited human beings cannot change. 23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. The wording of the verse in the KJV is rhetorical and makes it sound like it should end with a question mark and not a period. The wording of the Contemporary English Version is more straightforward. 23 Can you ever change and do what's right? Can people change the color of their skin, or can a leopard remove its spots? If so, then maybe you can change and learn to do right. We are not left without hope. What we cannot do, God can. 4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. 20 For our conversation (citizenship) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: There are things man tries to change which cannot be changed. 25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. The pride and arrogance of man thinks they can change or ignore God's Law. God includes the Law of Moses as His command. His truth will be revealed. 7 As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame. Lies can distort the truth. 14 For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us. God has said He does not change His Word. 34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. 6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Outside of God's Word, things change all the time. Life in this confused world filled with sin is in a state of constant change and turmoil. Sometimes this is good, when changes are needed. As you get older, it becomes harder and harder to make changes. It is important to remain flexible and willing to make changes, when they are needed. It is also important to be firm and not shaky, changing only what needs to be changed and not bending with every whim or pressure. I have made a major change in the formatting of my web site. I am surprised at how hard it was for me to be willing to make this change. I developed a web design style fifteen years ago when the Internet was quite different than it is today. I resolutely resisted all the latest fads and flamboyant styles, which try to make web sites more exciting and flashy. However, the way the Internet is used has changed significantly and I finally decided I needed to make an adjustment. Fifteen years ago the typical computer screen was 13" or less and the resolution was 640 by 480. Using the entire screen to display a web page was common and appropriate because it was about the width of a page in a book. This was ideal for my web site because it is like a book or a paper. As the size and resolution of the screen slowly increased, I felt it was best to allow the user to choose the width they wished to display, instead of forcing what I thought was best on them. Others began forcing wide page sizes, multiple columns, small print, and other outrageous design styles, which I considered inappropriate. This resulted in the display of the web page browser often being maximized. My web site would become difficult to read because maximizing resulted in long lines. Shorter lines are easier to read. I did not change because I believed the user could change the width and should be allowed to choose whatever width they wanted. Today, the typical screen is often four times the size and I have noticed people would maximize and not change the width of the screen, which makes my web site awkward to read and unsightly. Though it was a difficult mental adjustment for me, I have changed to specifying the width of my web site to keep it easy to read. Email formatting is another issue but I don't want to get too technical so I will leave it at this. This difficult mindset change in what I do on my web sites was part of what led to my meditations on changes, with religious applications. Web sites are not as critical as the decisions we make, which affect our eternal destiny. Restraining Spirit of God Being Withdrawn Will you make changes, when they are needed, or refuse to change? I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of Iaushua (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
