Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings,

I thought I would share this response from a newsletter reader:

_____

Frank.

Interesting conversation with the pastor. I would only add that it seems the pastor might be benefited by reading this quarter's lesson coming up week after next tomorrow. There, Dr. Carl Cosaert, whom I have met and sat in Theology SS class when he has taught on a number of occasions, has, in my humble view, turned the SDA Church's teaching about the yearly holy convocations and sabbaths on it's proverbial head! The texts he mentions, in terms of what Cosaert is saying Paul, the apostle, is saying he is NOT talking about in Galatians, 4:8--10, and additionally refers the Quarterly's readers back to Colossians, 2, vs. 16, and I will throw in, vs. 17, makes clear that Paul taught his new Gentile converts to Judeo-Christianity the observance of God's special requirements for inclusion in His Covenantal blessings, which includes eating only clean meats, what one drinks and when, the new moons, the feast days and the weekly Sabbath.

To the Church, either because of it's traditional teachings, or perhaps willful negligence of the law in Galatians, Ellen White said, "Because the Church has taken wrong positions on the law in Galations, it has sustained a sad loss." It now appears that a leading theologian of the SDA Church is saying is that Paul was, in fact by Cosaert's obvious tying Paul's statements in Galatians 4, 10 to the same.

The Everlasting Covenant, given at the gate of the Garden of Eden, where the only recorded holy time was the weekly Sabbath, at that moment ensconced in the Ten Commandment law, along with the other nine principles which Adam and Eve once kept when they didn't know what a "law" was, was the only holy time they appeared to know about, was expanded and made permanent in Exodus 34.

Thus, what Paul is saying in Colossians 2: 13--17 is that the Covenant either stands or falls as one body of God's law. What does the pastor think about Mrs. White's statements in the book, Prophets and Kings, pps. 100, 101, and 678? I call Exodus 34, where the weekly Sabbath is listed as #3, after "No graven or molten images," and "feast of unleavened bread. the Lord's Passover," the Bible's Sabbath chapter. The outline of the religion God gave His people. It was not ratified by blood sacrifice until Yeshua said, "This cup is My blood of the New Covenant." What New Covenant existed when Yeshua made that statement??

I suggest Professor Cosaert's book to all SDA feast keepers, and those interested in learning more of the blessings God has placed, in clear language, including love for our brothers and sister, who are poor, widows, orphans, and those from afar off; strangers. God's holy times remain. How the specific laws about family, health, safety, society, and others are specifically administered, changes with place and time. But, tell the pastor to notice that "the principles all remain intact today as then".

The power over death, as in the death penalty, is reserved for those who commit murder, or actively participate in it. The reason that we are not under the law as school master is that we now live for a time under the grace provided by Christ through His sacrifice and atoning work in the heavenly sanctuary for us. Theocracy for many peoples is now a thing of the past. But the the moral Law remains the same.

Yours,

Ron Dahlke

My reply:

Ron,

The church is clearly headed for "The Shaking" and the issue is going to be the "Law of Moses" with the yearly Sabbaths being the most prominent. This will fulfill the prophecy in Malachi 4:4.

You will be interested to read next week's newsletter where I repeat and document my assertion the yearly Sabbaths began in heaven before creation. Like everything else in the Bible they were simply not written and recorded until the Exodus.

Be at peace,

Frank T. Clark - When the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth.... and he will show you things to come. John 16:13 (paraphrased)

_____

Are you ready for "The Shaking"?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
