Dear Brothers and Sisters in
IAUA
(ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 26th day of the 10th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6015 Anno Mundi. It is 11 weeks and 1 day until the new year begins with the Spring yearly Sabbaths. The first Unleavened Bread yearly Sabbath begins as always the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month (Sabbath, April 7th on the 2012 Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Friday, April 6th). This year the day of the week will be the same as it was in the year IAUShUO was crucified on Golgotha. An amazing thing occurs in the Gregorian Calendar years of both 2011 and 2012. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar and the Jewish Calendar agree with the dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar! _____ The questions from last week take a serious turn with controversy on a disputed point. Hello Brother Frank, Thank you for your response. I agree that the other issues are probably not that important, but this one is:
No Brother. You are doing as chapter 29 of the 1858 Great Controversy says: "I saw a company who stood well guarded and firm, and would give no countenance to those who would unsettle the established faith of the body. God looked upon them with approbation. I was shown three steps-- one, two and three--the first, second and third angels' messages. Said the angel, Woe to him who shall move a block, or stir a pin in these messages. The true understanding of these messages is of vital importance. The destiny of souls hangs upon the manner in which they are received. I was again brought down through these messages, and saw how dearly the people of God had purchased their experience. It had been obtained through much suffering and severe conflict. Step by step had God brought them along, until he had placed them upon a solid, immovable platform. Then I saw individuals as they approached the platform, before stepping upon it examine the foundation. Some with rejoicing immediately stepped upon it. Others commenced to find fault with the laying of the foundation of the platform. They wished improvements made, and then the platform would be more perfect, and the people much happier. Some stepped off the platform and examined it, then found fault with it, declaring it to be laid wrong. I saw that nearly all stood firm upon the platform, and exhorted others who had stepped off to cease their complaints, for God was the Master-Builder, and they were fighting against him. They recounted the wonderful work of God, which had led them to the firm platform, and in union nearly all raised their eyes to heaven, and with a loud voice glorified God. This affected some of those who had complained, and left the platform, and again they with humble look stepped upon it." {1SG 168.2} ---------------- 1911 Great Controversy p.399: "The tenth day of the seventh month, the great Day of Atonement, the time of the cleansing of the sanctuary, which in the year 1844 fell upon the twenty-second of October, was regarded as the time of the Lord's coming. This was in harmony with the proofs already presented that the 2300 days would terminate in the autumn, and the conclusion seemed irresistible." {GC88 399.3} {GC 399.4} ------------------- Please repent, come back up to the platform of truth, and follow Jesus :-) _____ I replied: I notice a typographical error which is being corrected in my books and on my website. We are discussing the Day of Atonement which is the 10th day of the seventh month. The 15th day of the seventh month is Tabernacles. So many details and so much confusion. I am sad you believe the platform for all of God's truth stands or falls based on the selection of a specific day and month on the Gregorian, pagan, Catholic Calendar by William Miller and his associates. "We have many lessons to learn, and many, many to unlearn. God and heaven alone are infallible. Those who think that they will never have to give up a cherished view, never have occasion to change an opinion, will be disappointed. As long as we hold to our own ideas and opinions with determined persistency, we cannot have the unity for which Christ prayed." {RH, July 26, 1892 par. 7} I am sad you believe EGW contradicts herself. "The first of these festivals, the Passover, the feast of unleavened bread, occurred in Abib, the first month of the Jewish year, corresponding to the last of March and the beginning of April..." {PP 537.3} I am sad you wish to follow the tradition of William Miller and the SDA church instead of the witness of the Jewish people and the early church who preceded the Millerites by two millennia. We will have to agree to disagree or you can continue to condemn me. I stand before God as my witness and not any man. I do not stand alone. There are many whose studies have led to the same conclusion as mine. I must follow the results of my study of the Bible, the inspiration of EGW, and all of church history without giving priority to the last two centuries of returning from the apostasies and errors of the Dark Ages. We can continue to discuss the facts in depth, if you wish, or you can stick to tradition. I know just how hard it is to admit an error once a stand has been taken. The entire denomination refuses to forsake the error of nailing the Law of Moses to the cross and rejects God's Holy Days in spite of God's personal message in Malachi 4:4. _____ They responded: You did not mention the strong evidence from the 1911 Great Controversy book for October 22, 1844 being the correct date. Was that an oversight? Let’s follow Jesus, looking to him always, _____ I replied: You choose to read it the way you wish to interpret but I see differently. I do not see her stating every detail including the day of the month was "Correct" in the GC quote. I see some ambivalence. I have a very simple question which I stated several times to which you did not respond. Did EGW contradict herself? I will not repeat the quotes I already sent where she stated the date of Passover which is tied to the date of Atonement. If it is not clear enough for you to see the contradiction and if you wish to truly examine truth, I can repeat every detail and proof for you. I am not going to waste my time, if you have your mind made up. I know these things are very complicated and it is difficult to break with tradition. I am sympathetic to the struggle for I spent years of uncertainty and doubt before I decided to follow the Holy Spirit and the truth no matter what it said. Now I am free from all doubt because I follow the evidence of ALL the Word and ALL the Spirit of Prophecy without excuses and without trying to justify traditional beliefs. Tradition is good when it supports God's Truth. Tradition is bad when it contradicts truth. _____ They responded: The question is not about following tradition or not. That has nothing to do with it. I’ve studied very carefully for many years, and know beyond the shadow of a doubt that October 22, 1844 was the Day of Atonement as prophesied in Daniel 8:14. The inspired writings of Ellen White prove that conclusively. To deny that based on a quote in Patriarchs and Prophets and Desire of Ages that is not even talking about the 2300 day prophecy, and doesn’t anywhere use the word “always” or “all” in it to prove a new theory is not wise, is it? Why choose these quotes that don’t even refer to the 2300 day prophecy to indirectly set up a new belief, rather than believe the quotes that directly relate to the 2300 day prophecy and show that October 22, 1844 was the exact date? How can we be called a “repairer of the breach” if we are actively destroying the foundation? Please repent and humble yourself and come back to the straight and narrow path following Jesus _____ I replied: You can deny the evidence, if you choose. Either EGW was speaking truth or not. You can explain away what she said but then you are in denial. I will stand before God with the clear conviction I followed the message He sent. I would be interested to hear you explain to Him why she was wrong. God is a righteous judge who knows the heart. You must follow what you believe to be true. I do not call you to repent of my own authority. I will quote Paul. Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: _____ They responded: I showed you clearly from inspired words where you are off the foundation. The fact of October 22, 1844 is unmoveable, no matter how hard you protest. Please stop your complaining, as God is the master builder. May you repent so this not be said of you: “Woe to him who shall move a block, or stir a pin in these messages.” Please step back humbly on the platform of truth. _____ This issue is a major problem for many people. It is also a major issue because those who do not accept the yearly Sabbaths point to this disagreement as one of the reasons against their importance. How can God allow confusion on this point? Imagine the problem if there was any serious confusion about the day of the weekly Sabbath! God has a purpose for this confusion. God is encouraging our growth by leaving this difficult issue for our study and struggle. He is reminding us we must never become cocky or self-righteous we are always right. I will not participate in an argument. Study and discussion are good. Arguing and condemnation does not serve any purpose. I continue to carefully review every shred of credible evidence on a disputed point. Are you praying and earnestly seeking for the guidance of the Holy Spirit? I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
