Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Home / Archives

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 13th day of the 6th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6016 Anno Mundi.

The fall holy day season begins with Trumpets Sabbath in 2 weeks and three days starting the evening of the 1st day of the 7th month (Monday, September 17th on the 2012, Gregorian Calendar, beginning sunset on Sunday, September 16th).

An amazing thing occurs in the Gregorian Calendar years of both 2011 and 2012. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) and the Jewish Calendar agree with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar!

It has come to my attention the Karaite Calendar determination has placed The Fall Sabbaths a day later than others. This is probably because they use predicted visual sighting rules which can be very arbitrary.

Another interesting LinkedIn discussion was started by the group manager on the growing trend to follow other churches in ecumenical concepts.

Spiritual Formation: Prominent Adventists Speak Out youtube.com

Short presentation about Spiritual Formation in the SDA Church

Frank T. Clark • Excellent video! It is about time people start taking notice of this serious problem which has been creeping deeper and deeper into our church for many years. The problem beneath this issue is that our church has been stagnant and Laodicean for about a century. We have not grown in deeper Biblical understanding. We have turned our back on a closer walk with Bible truth and made excuses about why we don't have to do what the Bible says. The seeds of this denial are continuing to give fruit to heresies such as the ones described in this video.

Some will ignore this problem and continue in deeper and deeper apostasy from the truth. Some will turn to their Bibles and study deeper to remove the blinders from their eyes and apply the eyesalve of the Holy Spirit. Many will sit back and say:

17 ... I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing...
Revelation 3:17

Barbara Bailey • Thank you for sharing this. I believe some people are being led astray because of their willingness to participate in "healthy" activities that are based in eastern religions like yoga, tai chi, etc. Give Satan an inch, and he'll take a mile. We can't even really trust our Adventist book stores to provide only sound, biblically-based books, pamphlets, etc.

Frank T. Clark • Barbara, Yes! The proverbial mixing of error with truth. The example I was thinking about is Praise Music. You take the healthy idea of singing praises to God and mix in spiritualistic music styles stressing emotion over content. Add some repetition, drums, electric guitars... You hear the twisted concept "The church must become more modern and speak to the young people of our time..." Whatever happened to the idea of the church training the youth to the eternal truth and the attitudes that go with it? Now we have decided that the modern youth, drenched in the message of the world, needs to train the church. Excuse me! Sometimes the singing of the church needs some reviving but the simplistic mechanics of just singing fast or loud or with more beat are not the answer. I agree we need to sing with more feeling but not more demonstration.

Mario Petrovalle • The lead speaker, John Bradshaw, asks the right questions and he says these questions are not being answered and that is the reason for his concern.

He asks:

Why is this not based on what Adventists have been historically taught?

Why is the church embracing something coming from people who are outside the church?

Can anyone answer these questions for him and for us?

Frank T. Clark • Mario, Strong agreement in general and special emphasis in particular on "Why are we embracing ideas coming from people who are not practicing the truth we know is right?" I could provide a dozen Bible and EGW quotes with a little research on this topic. Those who are not practicing commonly accepted Biblical truth are not a source of inspiration and teaching for those who are. I see this often from the pulpit where the preacher thinks it makes his presentation more engaging when he quotes from worldly philosophers and theologians from other belief systems. I better stop here but I will provide two quotes for careful consideration..

20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is NO LIGHT in them.
Isaiah 8:20

Why are we looking for light where there is NO LIGHT? This one always makes me take notice.

"Christians should be preparing for what is soon to break upon the world as an overwhelming surprise, and this preparation they should make by diligently studying the word of God and striving to CONFORM their lives to its precepts. The tremendous issues of eternity demand of us something besides an imaginary religion, a religion of words and forms, where truth is kept in the outer court. God calls for a revival and a reformation. The words of the Bible and THE BIBLE ALONE, should be heard from the pulpit. But the Bible has been robbed of its power, and the result is seen in a lowering of the tone of spiritual life. In many sermons of today there is not that divine manifestation which awakens the conscience and brings life to the soul. The hearers cannot say, "Did not our heart burn within us, while He talked with us by the way, and while He opened to us the Scriptures?" Luke 24:32. There are many who are crying out for the living God, longing for the divine presence. Let the word of God speak to the heart. Let those who have heard only tradition and HUMAN THEORIES and maxims, hear the voice of Him who can renew the soul unto eternal life." {PK 626.1}

We should be CONFORMING to the BIBLE and not HUMAN THEORIES.

Barbara Bailey • Matthew 13:24-30

Mario Petrovalle • Barbara, I know this parable

http://www.diggingfortruth.org/article/2013

But what is your comment?

Frank T. Clark • I suspect Barbara was pointing to the similarity that God put truth in the church and an enemy has sown error... :-)

Maybe she is being brief in contrast to my verbose... :-)

Barbara Bailey • "He asks Why is this not based on what Adventists have been historically taught?

Why is the church embracing something coming from people who are outside the church?

Can anyone answer these questions for him and for us?" - the parable answers it - AN ENEMY has done this. Jesus warned us. The false will be growing side-by-side with the true until Jesus comes and puts an end to it all.

Frank T. Clark • An enemy has done this but let us pray for those who assist the enemy in his work. Also let us pray that we are not unwittingly assisting the enemy.

Pastor Mock • HMMMM ...... I thought it was I AM THE CHURCH! YOU ARE THE CHURCH! WE ARE THE CHURCH TOGETHER! Why is the SDA the only church in town? I remember a time when if you read anything but King James you were going to hell. So how many of us are going to hell because someone said that? I listened to the audio and read what you have written and understand why people stay away from those finger pointing church people. If I am taking a journey with an inmate or someone who is struggling and they hear the words from the modern contemporary worship songs, "I Can Only Imagine" or "Who Am I" and it speaks to them then God is at work not finger pointers.

Who is the enemy? "I AM RIGHT AND IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE MY CHURCH?" Is this not satin at work? As I read what you write it reminds me of why I do not want religion in my life but faith in Jesus Christ.

Frank T. Clark • There is a subtle source of confusion when we use the word church and we really mean denomination.

33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
I Corinthians 14:33

There is a subtle source of confusion when there is a mix of the ecumenical goal of reaching the world to proclaim our Saviour with the personal goal of growing into all truth and leaving behind poor methods.

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
I Corinthians 13:10

There is a subtle source of confusion when those who are seeking to grow in truth are confronted with those who are satisfied with what they have.

17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Revelation 3:17

There is a subtle source of confusion when a critical spirit comes among those who are seeking to follow the Saviour wherever He leads them.

4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
Revelation 14:4

There is a subtle source of confusion when words are twisted from their recognized meaning and made to contradict and oppose what we believe.

6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Ephesians 5:6

Are you seeking to grow into all truth and lead others to greater truth or join the lowest common denominator to appeal to all?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
