Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!   Are you ready?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 8th day of the 2nd month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6017 Anno Mundi.

Pentecost Sabbath is in 3 weeks and 6 days on the evening of the 6th day of the 3rd month (Thursday, May 16th on the 2013, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset on Wednesday, May 5th).

The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. Those who follow the Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) will be observing the Spring Holy Days a month later and the Jewish Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is a day early in spring.

There is going to be a series of presentations in Terra Bella, CA next week during the Feast of Unleavened Bread camp meeting according to the Millerite Calendar (April 25-May 2) on the opposing viewpoints of Trinitarians and non-Trinitarians. The camp meeting is hosted by Bible Explorations (http://www.bibleexplorations.info). The presentations are available through BETV by Satellite and on the web.

Those familiar with my studies know that I am neither a Trinitarian nor a non-Trinitarian. I am similar to a Trinitarian in that I believe in a Godhead of three persons. I object to the word Trinity because it implies agreement with the Roman Catholic doctrine. I will not commit myself to agreement with the Roman Catholic doctrine by use of the word Trinity or Trinitarian. I believe in what the Bible says no matter what it says in Roman Catholic doctrine.

I was reading the Bible Explorations April newsletter (http://www.bibleexplorations.info/news/Newsletter,%20Apr%202013.pdf) which gave some details about the upcoming camp meeting and the Trinity Discussions. I noted that the Trinitarian position was to be presented by Cheryl Rilea and the non-Trinitarian position by Nader Monsaur.

Imagine my surprise to receive a phone call from a lady who introduced herself as Cheryl Rilea and wanted to discuss Trinity with me. She was referred to me by Bible Explorations as a Trinity supporter. I didn't bother to correct the subtle distinction in my belief but I did direct her to my website where I have a lot of material on the subject. We also began an email exchange which I have excerpted as follows:

I was pondering our conversation and especially your comment about the write up given Nader Monsaur compared to what you received.

I am pleased to see how he described you. I can only aspire to be described as "kind, soft spoken, and very considerate of others". I may have to make a point of watching and recording your presentations on BETV. I am certain the Holy Spirit will bless and guide your presentations.

I do not know if you are aware that John is absolutely anti-Trinitarian though he hides it very well. I sense a slight touch of bias in the respective descriptions. He describes your view as the "Conference view" and the other as "the original non-Trinitarian SDA view".

The "original" SDA viewpoint was NOT non-Trinitarian as I mention in what I have written.

I look forward with eager anticipation to additional discussion with you.

Yes, Frank,

It was revealed to me that Elder John is anti-trinitarian.... His bias was evident in the write-up. Thus, I feel that I am being thrown to the lions, so-to-speak.

Thank-you for your encouragement.

You have the opportunity to witness for the truth! :-) I suppose that is similar to being thrown to the lions.

This link is my primary link from the home page of the website which has other links.

These links are already referenced at the previous link but are included here for completeness. You will see by the dates there has been an ongoing development of my study of this subject.

Thank-you for sharing your websites... I have briefed them.

1) Looking for more on how the Holy Spirit Ruach, is different than man's sprit. How is God's Holy Spirit a person, yet man's spirit is an aspect of him??

2) What is your take on Mt 16:13-17 and 1 Jn 2:22??

I tend to approach issues from a simple straightforward view. I don't go in for detailed intellectual or philosophical approaches. I believe very strongly in the motto "Keep It Simple". I just wrote a newsletter/blog on this.

Primary point. "Keep It Simple" does not mean simplistic... :-)

My primary approach would be this. God (Holy Spirit) is different from man. Just because the same term is used doesn't mean it is exactly the same thing. Beware of using the term God's Holy Spirit which is a singular possessive statement which makes it sound like the Holy Spirit is a part of the Father/Son. Remember, God is a misrepresented term because it is viewed as singular. God is actually Godhead (Hebrew plural ELAIM). There are numerous semantic difficulties with expressions relating to the plurality of the Godhead and the unity of the Godhead.

I believe the confusing meaning of the English statement "God's Holy Spirit" is one of the reasons for why there is a controversy. Satan has influenced this confusion and capitalizes on this confusion to create the controversy to separate the Godhead's people from the truth.

The Holy Spirit is a person because the Bible and SOP says he is a person. There are semantically confusing statements, which cause confusion on the subject. The Bible and SOP speak often of the importance of faith and evidence submitted in humility to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I wrote a detailed discussion on the issues "Faith, Evidence, and Doubt":

http://www.iaua.name/Archives/2012/2012-06-15.html

Those scriptures (Mt 16:13-17 and 1 Jn 2:22) speak only of the Father and Son but this does not mean there is no other person in the Godhead. Only those looking for a reason to support their divergent apostate viewpoint would focus on verses such as these and ignore or attempt to discredit others which are more complete. The same confusion exists with the SOP. You can pick and choose statements which support your desired viewpoint but proper understanding requires completely grasping the entire body of knowledge. The Bible says:

Isaiah 28:9-13
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

By the way, if we were to be concerned with being more technically accurate, to try to help avoid confusion and doubt, we would wish our Saviour had been more detailed and explicit by saying the Holy Spirit revealed the truth to Peter. This would help our weak, doubting, and easily confused minds. The statement is however completely accurate because of the unified purpose of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. What One does They all support and agree, therefore each has done it. If we must identify the exact Agent responsible for each act, then we would recognize that it is always the Holy Spirit who represents the Godhead influencing the minds and actions of all Their children all over the world.

I hope that helps...

Matthew 12:31-32
31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Are you a careful student of the Bible to rightly discern God's truth?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
