Preparing for the End of Time

The Lord is Coming!  Are you ready?

Home / Archives

Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 12th day of the 13th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6017 Anno Mundi.

The Spring Holy Day season begins the New Year in 4 weeks and 4 days with Passover on the evening of the 15th day of the 1st month (Tuesday, April 15th on the 2014, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset on Monday, April 14th).

The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates my research, and others, has determined for the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is the same in the spring this year.

The LinkedIn discussion of the date of our Savior's birth has experienced a shift in focus to discuss the importance and value of growing in knowledge. I was planning to title this blog "Christmas Confusion VI" but I decided the change in subject required a new title.

To my study and calculation by scripture the article "digging for truth" is very well done and right on. Adventists have lost much knowledge by not studying and actually more or less ignoring the creator''s yearly feast days, because they are very clear and plain as to the whole plan of salvation. Wherever Ted Wilson got the information or calculation from that Jesus was born in the spring, I personally do not know and it really doesn't matter, What matters is what scripture says and scripture is plain, if we use the information that is available there and study that information. Everything is taking place according to God's Calendar, his birth, his death, resurrection and his second coming. Even Ellen White states in GC that as the spring feasts were fulfilled, so will the fall feasts fulfilled. You can read that on pages 399/400. That actually should end all discussions for Seventh-day Adventists. God has a plan and the plan is outlined in the yearly festivals. Blessings and Shalom.

Walter --

I fully agree with you -- and EGW. The Fall Festivals WILL be fulfilled. No disagreement here.

I've been following the discussion and its interesting to see the various perspectives. Just because the birthdate of Jesus was not recorded does not make it unimportant; but I do agree it should not consume our spiritual focus.

Josian, interesting that you say this should not consume our spiritual focus. I want to note that yours is the 256th comment which equals the most active discussion on this group.

The discussion about the 'Pacific Union Conference calls constituency meeting for WO' which was started in May 2012 also has 256 comments. It seems that people have lost interest in discussing what the PUC did in August 2012 the last comment on that discussion was two months ago. The discussion about when Christ was born stated in mid December after Ted Wilson introduced his doctrine that Christ was born in the Springtime.

I am not in any way suggesting this is not spiritually significant. I am just wondering how it advances spiritual growth knowing when Christ was born. Knowing He was born should be the point of consumption in my estimation.

Josian, Several days ago I made a comment relating to the value of knowledge and spiritual growth. A few comments back Walter Tschoepe mentioned the value of knowledge relating to spiritual development. It is awkward to find all the comments.

Quoting:

I will certainly have a lot of questions when I get to heaven but I believe it valuable and important to study deeply while here on earth to learn all that God has revealed for us. God has revealed a lot more than people are willing to accept and willing to learn by intense study. One of my treasured Bible verses:

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

We do not seek knowledge for egotism or criticism but because our intense love for our Savior motivates us to seek all that is available to learn from Him. He has given us a great promise, which is another of my treasured Bible verses:

John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth... He will show you things to come.

I believe with all my heart that "all truth" means "ALL Truth".

II Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

I'd like to believe that as sincere followers of God we are intuned to learning more and more of His beautiful truths. Agreed. We should also be understanding of each other's journey to discovering such truths. God bless.

The quotes and notes shared are valuable I must say.

Josian,

UNDERSTANDING! What a fantastic concept that is so difficult to achieve. It is a constant struggle against the accuser of the brethren to remember that we are all at different places in our growth and there is nothing wrong with that. It doesn't necessarily make anybody good/better or bad/worse. We have different understandings from our studies and there is nothing wrong with that. It doesn't necessarily make anybody right or wrong. There is an absolute truth but we don't know it perfectly... at least not yet. Sometimes we must agree to disagree and still strive forward continuing to love and cherish our brothers and sisters.

Be at peace.

Brother Frank, the more I read from you the more I appreciate your perspectives.

One thing you say, "There is an absolute truth but we don't know it perfectly... at least not yet" I have to comment on.

To the first part I say, "Amen!"

To "at least not yet," I have to ask, can such a time EVER come?

God is infinite in power and in knowledge. That make truth infinite! So then there will always be more truth and more understanding to grow into for all eternity!

We can never achieve absolute truth because to do so would mean we were GOD. That will never happen and so there will be room to grow in understanding of the truth through the ceaseless ages of eternity!

"Paul saw that the character of Christ must be understood before men could love Him or view the cross with the eye of faith. Here must BEGIN that study which shall be the science and the song of the redeemed through ALL ETERNITY." {AA 273.1}

Ian,

The complexities of a deep subject. :-) There are levels of truth that are the study of eternity. There are also truths we need for these end times that we do not yet have.

Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Agreed Frank. Some of them are about to hit people's brains in a few more days!

__________

Are you growing in knowledge and understanding?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
