Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 5th day of the 9th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6018 Anno Mundi.

The Spring Sabbaths begin in about 4 months with the first Sabbath of Unleavened Bread, the 15th day of the 1st month (Sunday, April 5th on the 2015, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Saturday, April 4th).

The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates for determining the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is one day early.


I am returning this week to the continuing email responses from a new newsletter reader struggling to understand why the Seventh-day Adventist denomination rejects the yearly Sabbaths and the Law of Moses. They are sincerely seeking the truth. They are trying to see through the arguments for rejecting the yearly Sabbaths and the Law of Moses. This is very difficult to do.

There was underlining and bold highlights, which can only be seen on the website.

They wrote:

Note that the yearly ceremonial days are ordinances (statutes):

Num 9:12 They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances [H2708. chuqqah] of the passover they shall keep it.
...
Num 9:14 And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance [H2708. chuqqah] of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.

Lev 16:29 And this shall be a statute [H2708. chuqqah] for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:

Lev 16:34 And this shall be an everlasting statute [H2708. chuqqah] unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.

Lev 23:39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
Lev 23:40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.
Lev 23:41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute [H2708. chuqqah] for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

The ceremonial law, the ordinances written by the hand of Moses in a book, was clearly distinct from the Ten Commandments, which were written by the finger of God on tables of stone. In Leviticus, Moses makes note of the fact that the yearly ceremonial sabbaths, instituted for the purpose of offerings and sacrifices, were separate and distinct from the weekly Sabbath:

Lev 23:37 These are the [yearly] feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations [sabbaths], to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day: [referred to in Col. 2:16-17]
Lev 23:38 Beside the [weekly seventh day] sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.

In other words, the yearly ceremonial sabbaths set forth in Leviticus 23 were distinct from, and in addition to, the seventh day weekly Sabbath of the Lord, particularly with respect to the fact that sacrifices were necessary in order to observe the symbolic ceremonial days.

1 Chr 23:31 And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD:

2 Chr 35:6 So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

The yearly sabbaths were all set according to the new moons, which marked the beginning of the month. They were observed in the order and on the dates set by God at Sinai for the purpose of making sacrifices. The weekly seventh day Sabbath commandment is distinctive, in that it does not have any intrinsic requirement for sacrifices or burnt offerings (Exo. 20:8-11, Deut 5:12-15), and it is not set by the new moon.

I responded:

More attempts to deny what God says. Part of it is a lie. Leviticus 23 binds the weekly Sabbath with the yearly Sabbaths. Read it for yourself! What does the Holy Spirit tell you?

He looked upon the paschal lamb that was to be sacrificed, and knowing that it prefigured a Deliverer to come, was deeply impressed with his own mission and work, as it was portrayed in the rites and ceremonies of the feast. He was intelligent upon the subject of the moral and ceremonial laws. He was attracted to the company of the doctors and lawyers, and began to ask them questions which surprised them; for they showed unusual depth of reasoning. The peculiar order of questions he asked the learned rabbis and scribes, opened to their mind a field of thought into which they had not entered before; and the answers he gave to their questions excited their surprise and admiration. Am I misreading her statement?


I responded:

You are making a logical equivalence that is not accurate. There is also some misunderstanding. There are so many details and confusion abounds. It requires careful consideration to see the truth in the light of all the Bible says.

The first thing I note is that she is talking about the Passover sacrifice. In light of all of what the Bible says I would say that the term ceremonial is nearly equivalent to sacrificial. There are at least two parts to worship observance. The "moral" part is obeying God's command to rest and convene in the case of the Sabbaths. The"ceremonial" part is the things we do on the Sabbaths.

The words "moral", "feast", and "ceremonial" are general words that are easily misunderstood and misused. You used the word "equivalence" [associative] which is a technical word often used in mathematics. Therefore, I will give a second wording of my response in mathematical terms.

There is a set of all the things God has commanded. There is a subset the Bible clearly states is temporary. The Bible clearly states the subset includes animal sacrifices. The problem is that many try to place other things God has commanded in the temporary subset that do not belong there. The temporary subset is often given the general but imprecise label "ceremonial". Protestants place the weekly Sabbaths, the yearly Sabbaths, and all the Law of Moses in the "ceremonial" subset but Adventists remove the weekly Sabbath, tithing, pork, and a few other pieces. They leave the yearly Sabbaths and the rest of the Law of Moses in the "ceremonial" subset.

Ellen said "the feast" includes "rites and ceremonies". This does not mean that the set of all "feast" is completely described by the subset "rites and ceremonies". Therefore, it is not an "equivalence". In the case of Passover the subset comprises a large part of the set. In the case of the yearly Sabbaths this is not true. It is important to recognize the difference between the intersecting sets of sacrifices, feasts, weekly Sabbath, and yearly Sabbaths. Leviticus 23 makes it clear that the weekly Sabbath and the yearly Sabbaths are in the same set.

Some are willing to take the yearly Sabbaths out of the "ceremonial" subset but still leave the rest of the Law of Moses in it. I believe this is nonsense. I accept and practice the entire Law of Moses without the subset of "sacrifices" as the Bible states.

By the way... I don't care if you want to call them ceremonial laws, or statutes, or ordinances. The question is whether they are the law of God, or not? The artificial separation of ceremonial law versus moral law is a division of man for the purpose of denying what God has commanded promoted by the Catholic organization and Satan (the beast). It is time for the 144k to heed the call of God.

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.


Will you heed the call of God to come out of traditional misunderstanding inherited from the Dark Ages of Babylonian apostasy?
