Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 18^th day of the 10^th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6018 Anno Mundi.
The Spring Sabbaths begin in 12 weeks and one day with the first Sabbath of Unleavened Bread, the 15^th day of the 1^st month (Sunday, April 5^th on the 2015, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Saturday, April 4^th).
The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates for determining the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is one day early.

In recent discussions about the Law of Moses there have been two words that have come up repeatedly. These words have also been in my mind in considering many things happening in the nation and family. Diligence and discipline are major components of what is missing in the troubled lives of many people and the complacent Laodicean church.
Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Complacent is the opposite of diligent. The Laodicean needs to dig deeper and work harder to find and practice the depths of God's truth they claim to believe in. This is a hard work that requires discipline. In the KJV I found only one reference using the word discipline. It is speaking of God's struggle with the wicked.
Job 36:9-12
9 Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.
10 He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.
11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
Other translations use the words instruction and teaching. These concepts are closely related. It is all the same Hebrew word. The JPS chooses the word discipline instead of instruction for this powerful first proverb.
Proverbs 1:1-7
1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
2 To know wisdom and instruction; to comprehend the words of understanding;
3 To receive the discipline of wisdom, justice, and right, and equity;
4 To give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion;
5 That the wise man may hear, and increase in learning, and the man of understanding may attain unto wise counsels;
6 To understand a proverb, and a figure; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; but the foolish despise wisdom and discipline.
The word diligence appears often in the Bible. This is one of my favorite powerful passages.
II Peter 1:4-10
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
Though the exact word is not used, this passage clearly expresses the same thought.
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Now that is diligence! He was quoting the Original Testament.
Deuteronomy 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
It is important to recognize that there are extremes of diligence and discipline. We must never be harsh with ourselves or with others. God is love. We are His children. We strive to be like Him.
John 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
I am sometimes asked why I study so hard to understand things like the pronunciation of the name of God and the Law of Moses and why I teach them so fervently. Diligence and discipline.
Deuteronomy 11:13-15
13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
15 And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.
Are you diligent to seek and practice all of God's truth?
I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
