Dear Brothers and Sisters in IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,

Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 9th day of the 11th month of God's Sacred Calendar in the estimated year 6018 Anno Mundi.

The Spring Sabbaths begin in 9 weeks and one day with the first Sabbath of Unleavened Bread, the 15th day of the 1st month (Sunday, April 5th on the 2015, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Saturday, April 4th).

The Sacred month begins on the world day after lunar conjunction and the sacred year begins with the Spring Passover Rule dates for determining the Gregorian Calendar dates of God's Sacred Calendar. The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is the same this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is one day early.

A newsletter reader who sees a hint of the present truth but is struggling to fully accept it was describing a dream he had. He was at a car dealer trying to buy a car but no matter what he offered the dealer would not sell. I was a bit stunned because that is how I was feeling. No matter how hard I try to show him the truth, he still struggles to see it as truth.

Matthew 13:45-46
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Perhaps I am being impatient. I know it is hard to see the truth through the fog and confusion of traditional teachings of the denomination rejecting complete acceptance of all of God's Law. I can point the way but it requires personal commitment, personal study, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

He repeats what I have heard many times before that I am too critical of the denomination. He points to the great teachers of the denomination and 3ABN such as Asscherick, Batchelor, Bohr, Cox, and DuPreez and asserts their advanced study and sincerity. Surely they can't be wrong! Maybe being sincere is enough? Maybe following the guidance of the denomination is enough?

"... Every soul must look to God with contrition and humility, that God may guide and lead and bless. We must not trust to others to search the Scriptures for us. Some of our leading brethren have frequently taken positions on the wrong side, and if God would send a message and wait for these older brethren to open the way for its advance, it would never reach the people. These brethren will be found in this position until they become partakers of the divine nature to a greater extent than ever they have been in the past. There is sadness in heaven over the spiritual blindness of many of our brethren. Our younger ministers who fill less important positions must make decided efforts to come to the light, to sink the shaft deeper and still deeper into the mine of truth." {RH, July 26, 1892 par. 8}

Powerful words about the danger of trusting in men.

Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

More words of warning about trusting in leaders.

"We talk of the Holy Ghost; we preach of the Holy Ghost; but we need to understand better what the office of the Holy Ghost is. We need to understand that we must co-operate with God in every sense or God can not co-operate with us. "We are laborers together with God." {1888 1745.8}

"According to the light that has been given me--and just how it is to be accomplished I can not say--greater strength must be brought into the managing force of the Conference. But this will not be done by intrusting responsibilities to men who have had light poured upon them year after year for the last ten or fifteen years, and yet have not heeded the light that God has given them. The word of God is to be our guide. Have you given heed to the Word? The Testimonies are not by any means to take the place of the Word. They are to bring you to that neglected Word, that you may eat the words of Christ, that you may feed upon them, that by living faith you may be built up from that upon which you feed. If you live in obedience to Christ and his word, you are eating the leaves of the tree of life, which are for the healing of the nations. {1888 1745.9}

"Here are the very words that we want to bring into our life practice. The men that have long stood in positions of trust while disregarding the light that God has given, are not to be depended upon. God wants them to be removed. He wants a new life element brought into the publishing institutions. There are those who have stood as managers and yet have not managed after God's order. Some have served on committees here and committees there, and have felt free to dictate just what the committee should say and do, claiming that those who did not carry out these ideas were sinning against Christ. When the power of God is manifest in the church and in the management of the various departments of his work, when it is evident that the managers are themselves controlled by the Holy Spirit of God, then it is time to consider that you are safe in accepting what they may say, under God. But you must know that you are guided by the principles of the Word of the living God. The Great General of armies, the Captain of the Lord's host, is our leader." {1888 1745.10}

This concern about disagreeing with the leadership has troubled me many times in the past. It has been a great struggle to be willing to just accept what the Bible says without the distortions that can be traced back to the Great Apostasy. It requires great effort through study and prayer to see through the tangled web of deceptions and confusion to find the truth.

He points out that we cannot both be right. This is not a simple disagreement about things of little importance. It is an incredible conflict of opposing and conflicting viewpoints about God's Law. Either those who are Torah Observant are wrong or the entire denomination and all its great teachers are wrong. It is a very troubling thing to consider. It almost seems like it is impossible to see the truth but I am reminded of the words of promise from our Savior.

Matthew 7:7-8
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

It just occurred to me that one interpretation of the dream is that the car represents heaven and the cost to obtain it is a price we do not even understand. It is hard to step out of the box and leave the comfort of learned teachers and a supporting organization. I am reminded of a parable.

Luke 14:26-30
26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

It is going to require great effort and study to see the truth. We have been warned of the need for this great effort and study to separate error from truth.

II Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

We struggle to follow the ideals of the Reformation and rise above the errors of the Great Apostasy. Seek Him with all your heart and you will find Him.

Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

We will find and know all the truth. More comforting words of promise from our Savior.

John 16:13 (FTCABE) However, when the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth... He will show you things to come.

I am certain that God knows the heart. I know that He will redeem anyone who honestly practices the best they understand. He alone knows whether the truth has been sought and understood or whether it has been denied. He knows and will judge correctly.

Are you willing to pay the great cost to invest in your eternal future?

I pray we may all continue to seek love, peace, and unity in truth preparing for the soon coming of IAUShUO (ee-ah-oo-shoo-oh) Messiah, the Son of God.
