Dear Brothers and Sisters in
IAUA (ee-ah-oo-ah) our Father,
Greetings on this day of preparation for the weekly Sabbath. I pray this newsletter finds you in good health and happy in the service of IAUA. This is the 16th day of the 1st month of the Biblical Calendar in the estimated year 6020 Anno Mundi. The Spring Sabbaths continue in five days with the second yearly Sabbath of Unleavened Bread on the 21st day of the 1st month (Wednesday, March 30th of the 2016, Gregorian Calendar, at sunset Tuesday, March 29th). On God's Calendar the Biblical month begins on the global day after lunar conjunction and the Biblical year begins with God's New Year's Day (Passover) after the spring equinox (Spring Passover Rule). The Millerite Calendar (Spring New Moon Rule) is a month later this year. The Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is also a month later. I found you website while researching The Name issue---pronunciation of, correct form of, etc. Your conclusion of the pronunciation is also in agreement with conclusions on the website link which follows: www.sacred-name.info I found your website while looking for the other one above. I failed to put in the dash mark (-) and found yours. What a blessing!! I was very excited to see how you came to the same conclusion from a very different approach. I had spent many nights consumed in my heart with this issue, because it is so very important. It is the key to so much. I know you know all of this, but I am merely sharing with you my train of thought. Strong’s defines the word “shem” as: Strong's # 8034 Shem; a primitive word [perhaps rather from 7760 through the idea of definite and conspicuous position; compare 8064]; an appellation, AS A MARK or memorial of individuality; by implication honor, authority, character: - + base, [in-] fame[-ous], name[-d], renown, report. (Yellow [capitalized] highlights above are mine) This (above)is the definition of the Hebrew word "shem" which is translated as "name" all throughout scripture. I have come to the conclusion that regardless of how we write The Name in our own cultural languages, the written letters, characters, etc., must render the resulting spoken/audible Name with the same sound that would have been the original audible sounding of The Name. I think that is how we get so many different ways of spelling it today. The main issue (as I repeatedly asked myself during my readings of many, many, many articles on the subject) is, “How did The Name sound originally?” Another problem for me is that do not speak Hebrew but I hope that this inability will change in the future. I have studied in the past Greek, German and French. I have no aversion to learning a new language. I think as one gets older, that may have something to do with it. Another issue of consideration was/is: language dialects, cultural pronunciation influences that changed the original pronunciation. What I have also noticed is that most Natzarim, Messianics, Israelites, etc., have the first part of The Name correct. It is the last part of The Name that most of the disagreement is about. I have a question. Do you have access to a downloadable resource or the direct link to the earliest translation version of Clement’s in which The Name is translated showing the “wah” vs. the “weh” ending? I have been Israelite, Messianic, etc., for years and feel like I am always just scratching the surface and learning new aspects of what I thought I knew. The current issue for me is the correct timing of Passover for 2016. Thanks so much for your time. I look forward to your response if you have the time to give a response. It is a joy to know there are others who take seriously their responsibility to their Creator for learning, knowing, and understanding His Truth. I was also consumed with a passion for knowing the best information I could find about His Name and His Calendar. I was deeply troubled by all the differing opinions, the disagreements, and the confusion. I knew that God would certainly have His Truth available. I took note of the Biblical guidance to the importance of careful study. II Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. I took careful note of the methods described in the Bible. Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: It took a decade of deep and careful study but I am now confident of the correct information based on a careful study of the best evidence. There are so many difficult details but trust in God because He has the desire and ability to reveal all truth to His people. He has promised! I have a saying... So many details... So much confusion... I hope to hear more from you. In particular, I love questions because I enjoy finding answers. I do not have any copy of "Clements" and I feel no need because I have found sufficient evidence for my understanding and purpose of His Name. Thank you for your mention of the 3/2016 Passover date. These past few days have been a bit disturbing for me as I see how many congregations are following 4/2016 as the month for Passover. It was also stressful for me because during that time I was actually not quite sure which of the 2 months might be correct. It got so bad that I considered making a spreadsheet listing all of the possible combinations of factors using the different methods and noting considerations for determining the new year and Passover. I am finding that I will have a bit of difficulty finding a congregation that observes Passover in 3/2016 and as a result this will cancel the possibility of my joining those groups for the Feast of Tabernacles. Since last year before Pesach, I had been reviewing what I thought I understood. I did this in order to possibly make sure I knew what I knew and practiced. Over the past several months I have been re-evaluating everything as best I can. I cannot read Hebrew and it has been years since I had Greek, so I have been praying about the studies and information that I have read from various ministries, teachers, etc., in context of what the Scriptures say. I pray for much discernment and try to “study out” the information that I read. Thank you for quoting John 16:13 so I can be reminded of His guidance as I study. When I found your website, I was actually looking for information about the pronunciation for the Name of Deity. Harriett _____ I responded: Harriet, Just Frank please. :-) I am happy to hear more from you. The traditional Jewish Calendar is followed faithfully even though it has drifted. Sadly, you will not find a congregation that is willing to follow truth rather than tradition. Everyone abdicates their responsibility to faithfulness by following traditional Jewish authority. It is sad and disturbing but the Bible helps us to understand the deceptions of Satan. The truth is there for the diligent and faithful student of the Bible. The Holy Spirit is there to guide the prayerful seeker of truth. The Internet is a fantastic source of true and false information to be carefully discerned. I have learned some Hebrew through careful study of dictionaries and pronunciation guides after removing the errors of the Ineffable Name that attempt to hide the truth. After more than a decade of intense study I have created a Hebrew transliteration I can easily read phonetically. We may not always have the perfect and absolutely correct answers but we can be confident that God has provided sufficient for our guidance and understanding. I am satisfied that I have a reasonably correct understanding of His Name and His Calendar. However, I continue to listen and consider other opinions to avoid the egotism and arrogance of self-satisfaction. I don't know it all. Nobody does, except God.
